I don't think we deserve that, I just think England did very well after not qualifying for Euro 2008
I love club football but there's a buzz around internationals for me too.

Only just recovering now from Scotland being dumped out the World Cup draw.

Liverpool 6 Hull 1 5/5
Hull are rubbish but Fernando Torres is one amazing striker, probably the best in the world right now.

Robin Van Diver scored.

Arsenal v Blackburn - 5/5
Great game - even though our defence was all over the place for the 1st 2 goals

Fabregas was brilliant, he had an awesome game. Vermalen is great.

And that is funny, why?
Not great but we playing against a side who needed a win, with 10 men and we'd already qualified so I'm not too bothered TBH.

We lost 2-0 to Japan in a friendly.
A game in which TEN of our first team squad pulled out thru "injury" sustained during training.
They put off a week of the SPL for this...?

England beat Hungary 2-1 in a friendly which seemed a decent performance compared to the World Cup.
Gerrard was very good, he scored 2 good goals when we were behind.
However, Hungary scored a "goal" which shouldnt have stood, in hilarious irony it probably didnt cross the line.
In interviews its often hard to understand what Capello is saying, his English isnt that great.

Scraped thru 2-1 against Lichtenstein (pop. 35,000) with a goal in the 98th minute.
Jammy doesn't begin to describe us...

98th minute? Why was the 2nd half so long?
You were saved from a very embarrassing result there

5 mins of proper injury time, then Liech time wasted and fouled like mad during this injury time which resulted in even more injury time.
Think the goal came on the 97th min though, not the 98th!!
But it is weird, when the goal went in I was ecstatic, but at the same time still very embarrassed and angry.
At the end of the day, it is the points that matter, but it was still shocking.
Unbelievable to think that given we should really have beat Lithuania on friday, as we were the better team (just), and since they beat Czech away from home, maybe we stand a chance against them?!
We'll have lulled Spain into a false sense of security with this Liech match though, so only 2 or 3 of them will really bother turning up and playing with full heart, so maybe we'll nick a result there?! Ha!! Only joking, we're going to get hammered.
But just maybe we'll get something from Czech...

I have to agree

Eboue please go now and don't bother closing the door

That was never in a million years a penalty.
Leiva stopped dead in his tracks forcing Eboue to bump into him. The Liverpool player wasn't interested in playing the ball he was looking for the bump to go down. Eboue couldn't have avoided him.
But then I don't think the arsenal penalty (a few mins before) should have been given either.
The referee screwed up twice. You can't get good refs these days and most players are dishonest. Ruins the game.

Sorry but that's bollocks.both were penalties.Eboue was brainless. When Gooner Smith.,looking gutted afterwards on Sky Sports says it was a penalty it says it all.Not that it matters anyway regarding the league,Arsenal haven't got the balls to win it unfortunately.
