hey up all,

just to confirm I am happy for the site to be moved especially if it means theres a chance it will evolve a bit nearer to what it was supposed to be.

glad to see you all well and having a laugh, and you never know, I might occasionally make an appearance as a mere monkey mortal next time I'm cursing the internet for not having enough stuff on it to keep me entertained

I guess it's up to Lourdes now, perhaps we need to get an estimate of the cost of transferring the site over and then work on voluntary donations? I'd be happy to throw a few bob in.

If we do change over we could really use a spambot filter, I can't tell you how annoying it is having to delete fake accounts hour after hour each day!

No, I was being facetious.

Bless you, Grim.

What kind of front page reviews were you guys thinking about? Giving it a second thought I may not be so interested after all. I like posting to forum because it gives me so endless possibilities. I can post as many screencaps as I want, any size I want, stuff related (soundtrack releases, action fugures, anything) an so on. Using normal "review form" my reviews will lose 60% of their value.

You don't have to. It was only so you didn't feel like your reviews were going to waste.

There's no such thing as a review form, I don't see why we can't just show your reviews exactly as they are in the forums, just on a front page.

It's proceeding now, Mordib needs to sort out some stuff security stuff so the transfer can go ahead and then I'll get that done. It'll cost maybe £14 to transfer and sort till 2012, we'll see afterwards.

Anti-spammer stuff is #2 on the list after an upgrade.

Just did a test conversion to phpbb3, everything seems to work okay. You won't be able to login by the way, I emptied all the passwords+emails bar mine since it's a test. I've done nothing except switch to the secondary style that looks okay and change the logo. I'll have more of a play later.

Transfer is in progress, current status is waiting for the losing registrar to send another email to confirm but some take their sweet time. I won't announce a move when it's ready, it'll just happen.

Just messing fella!

I hope the move injects a bit of fresh air into the proceedings and encourages some of the fallen heroes to return! :)

How much are we talking? It sounds fine in theory, although Mordib did say he'd make sure the site was always up. It's only gone down once AFAIK.

Bless :D. I love how you guys even talk about me when I'm away for 2 weeks on holiday :D.

Post count aside I doubt I'm one of the highest members who posts frequently any more, it's just my post count is so high.

I'll put some money in to keep this place going. :) Although I don't really post these days, it was one of the best sites back in the day when the internet was a new discovery. I remember having some great laughs on here in the site's heyday, e.g. Gil vs Matt Stevens, "The Bouch incident" etc. etc. etc.
