Subtitles are a bit bad from what I've seen - slang including "Woah! Yeah! Guys!". They're out of sync too.

French DVD managed the original trailer, why isn't it included here?

IMO, this is a shit film. Sure, Jet's Tai Chi movements are beautiful and the soundtrack is pretty good, but choreography is boring most of the time.

Honestly, the DD version looked a lot better than I was expecting. Hopefully, their Fist of Legend will be on par with this release.

If it doesn't pinkify and isn't cropped, then it should be good looking. I hope their subtitles are better too.

It's a favourite too.

I hope the Fist of Legend is much better than this TBH, it's not a particularly good transfer, the detail is too poor. Might be down to incompetent camera work or poor source material (maybe same masters as the even softer Dimension release), both of which we know is not a problem with Fist of Legend.

I'm going out on a limb here.... I prefer Tai-Chi Master to Fist of Legend. :D

If DD's is a Golden Harvest print, that might explain the shitty title card. I remember seeing the Miramax version of Wheels on Meals with a simular shitty title card.

I'm on it.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Why does it matter?

Some guys at work the either day, spent about 2 hours discussing which box to use, to package a printer up. I couldn't believe it.

You guys remind me of that Apprentice episode where they spent 4 Hours working out if an apostrophe should be used or not :D.

The audio on the Universe DVD made the transfer seem pristine. Possibly the worst 5.1 remix in the history of HK DVDs :D

It doesnt matter Brad but someone said the DD DVD was 'from a GH print so that explains the shitty title card' but just wondering why GH cards looked that way :)

Agreed, most definitely. I couldn't believe quite how bad it is. The only thing going for the Remastered DVD is the removable subs, otherwise give me the original DVD.

Which also sucks.

I just thought that the English title card looked very generic and shitty like GH's export print of Wheels on Meals that Miramax used. If DD's version of TCM was indeed inherited from Miramax, that could be why there's a shitty English title card instead of the original. Just a thought.
