That's because most women are greedy and dont care if a guy is old as the pyramids, as long as the guy has money and brings security. So because of the fact that women are so willing to degrade themselfs so easily for money, it really isnt newsworthy that much.

However, when a guy sets aside his pride and selfrespect to marry a hideous old woman (women dont age as well as men), it's alot more rare, so it IS newsworthy.

Women can be very hypocritical in this respect, they want to work and have the same rights as men but at the same time so often demand a man who is wealthy and can look after them. I read it time and time again on the dating sites I visit.

I don't give two hoots how much money a woman earns. I'll make my own money thanks. Yet this is very important to most women.

It is inbuilt into the female psyche to be looked after by men and society then goes and adds to this philosophy. Things should be 50/50 as far as I'm concerned.

We weren't talking about 'raping' a 13 year old or a 82 year old, but we were talking about having sex. I know in the USA sex with a 13 year old is 'automatically' rape, and usually I agree with that... but since I was forced to make a choice, I'd go for the 13 year old, as there are already girls at that age who are willingly having sex and enjoy having sex.

I wouldnt say I went too far with my earlier statement. Obviously, not ALL women are like I mentioned, but far too many are. It's the same when women can openly say all men are pigs/dogs, while I havent cheated once in my whole life. It doesnt apply to EVERYONE, but yeah, overall they're probably right.

But I agree with what you're saying about them being hypocritical. I'm kinda in that situation with my girlfriend, cause I often tell her that when we have kids, I feel one of the parents should always be home and take care of the house and the kids etc. For me, it's logical that person would be ME, as I'm very good with kids, plus I have a medical thingy that kinda keeps me at home anyway, so hopefully I'll be able to combine working at home and parenting and householding. For me, that would be the most logical solution, and she can go work.
But for her it feels like a woman should be at home, and the guy should be out to work. Normally, I'd kinda agree, but as I said, our situation is a bit different, so we have to adapt to the circumstances. But she has a little trouble with that.

No... I seriously feel men age much better than women. Usually. Ofcourse you have hot women who are already over 50, and you have guys who are already hideous looking when they're 35... but overall men age better.
I also believe it's because women are smearing crap on their faces their whole lifes, so their skin just kinda dies after 40. It's unhealthy and I always tell my girlfriend I'd rather see her without all that crap on her face (which luckily she does). Women are also always shitting around with new products in their hair. Every time a new product or brand hits the stores, women rush out to try it on. That's not good.

Plus obviously for men it's more accepted to grow older physically... or maybe we wear it a bit better. But for women their aging is all the more obvious cause women are trying so hard to hide it. Saggy tits, loads of make up to cover the wrinkles, hideous haircoloring to cover up the grey/white, etc.

A healthy 60 year old man will usually look younger and more 'alive' and healthier than a healthy 60 year old woman. That's just a fact.
Just look at Clint Eastwoord, who is 70 or something, and still looks reasonably well.
As a guy you just have to worry about not growing fat, and hoping that everything with stay kinda 'tight'. As a woman, it's much harder to stop everything from becoming saggy and starting to drop etc...

The fact is we ARE talking about rape. A child even if they consent is not equipped with enough maturity or life skills to understand what is happening. The adult however is expected to be fully or at least much more so equipped.

I do agree around the 13-15 period it gets into a very grey area BUT even so I feel it's best to air on the side of caution and assume the child isn't capable of fully understanding what she/he is getting into.

Well... one of the reasons I'd pick a 13 year old over an 82 year old, is because I feel when you are 13 you are already pretty mature. People really think kids become more and more stupid, the older they themselfs become... but when you really have a normal discussion about serious stuff with a kid, a kid is usually smarter and more mature than many 'adults'. Just look at all those kid-shows where children talk about the world and politics and problems etc. They seem to have lots more empathy for other human beings, and are more social. I guess after a certain age, people grow selfish and bitter and cynical etc.

I dont really think it's 'forward' thinking. it's just realistic. I have this medical crap that's kinda keeps me at home. and my girl has a very good diploma which means she can make alot of money working outside the home. Plus I'm just pretty good with kids and I enjoy interacting with kids and teaching them stuff etc. I know you're instantly suspected of being a peadophile if you're a guy that says he loves being around kids (and mentioning it in THIS thread isnt gonna help matters much either ), but I just really enjoy kids. I can get along with people of pretty much all ages, but kids are just FUN. Hard to explain, but just making them laugh, or beating them at a computergame, or teaching them a football trick or whatever... it's just nice.
I loved when in my old neighbourhood the young kids and the older 'kids' (18-25) all just played alongside eachother, football and stuff... and with respect and not taking advantage of their weaknesses etc.

Right now, I'm 30, and I can hardly imagine myself being with a girl under the age of 23 or something.

I completely agree except there is a big difference about talking about sex and doing it. I definitely agree more parents should talk to their kids about sex.
