God, you're such a tease. You build his hopes up, only to dash them all at the last...

I find using PHP/MYSQL works best.. and the best thing is both are free to download and setup locally on your own PC. Of course you would also need to download and setup Apache as well.

Well Yi, I would say, first learn the basic, then get into the database stuff at a later point. One you learn the basic, you will get into it.

You mean, I don't get to be Lewinski? :-(

thelostdragon - I think the database querying stuff that I mention is MySQL, although I'm not too sure about the technical names!!!

I learnt most of what I know through reading websites and asking people I know that do some webpage design. Usually when there is something that I want to know how to do I just google the question cause there is a big chance that someone out there has asked the same thing and written a tutorial on it!

The w3schools site was one that I used, there was also one called something like "3 guys from rolla"... which had a lot of example tutorials for ASP and SQL.

But I do agree with slasher - start with the basics of html. Maintain and update the site the slow way until you get to grips with it, then move on to database and ASP or PHP.

Well, I didn't think I'd make a good Lewinski anyway...
