Short novel. The point is, like they did in Casino Royale, the producers / studio will only use a title that you can make a 007 logo out of it (ie it has to have two "o"), so there's only two fleming titles left for this use, Quantum of Solace and Property of a Lady which I think will probably be Bond 23.
In any case, as long as the 007 logo is in the title, the title will not mean anything to the audience, as long as they can say "one ticket for 007", it'll work.

Why are you winking? As if you've just said something clever? I'm well aware of the back-to-basics approach, but is it mandatory this be reflected in using a pretentious title? The titlular story won't even have anything to do with this film. What if one of Fleming's stories was called "Suck My Fat Cock, James" would they use that for the Bond 23? Movies are movies, not books, and they could've easily come up with something cooler.bradavon wrote:Because of the back to basics approach and Fleming wrote them![]()
Well, you do. A lot.And people say I say dumb things.

Why would they run out? After CR and this coming flick, they can still do 'remakes' of the other good early Bond stories.grim_tales wrote:I think I only read "Win, Lose or Die", it was all right. But the point is soon they'll run out of Flemming's work and so they'll have to use something else.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Yeah, I certainly wouldnt mind remakes of those classic movies.
Hell, if they write it well and dont camp it up, they should also do remakes of the horrible Moore movies, just so those stories will finally be done properly.

God I hope not. You may not like the style but they're very much part of Bond history.Yi-Long wrote:Hell, if they write it well and dont camp it up, they should also do remakes of the horrible Moore movies, just so those stories will finally be done properly.
They ran out yonks ago. That's why they're digging out the archives for his short stories, and have written new stories.grim_tales wrote:But the point is soon they'll run out of Flemming's work and so they'll have to use something else.
No.grim_tales wrote:is NSNA part of the official Bond canon?

The stories might very much be part of the Bond history, but I wouldnt wanna see those movies that messed those stories all up, so that's why I'd like some proper serious versions with a good actor, so it gets done right.bradavon wrote:God I hope not. Of course its fake!
There won't be any actual posters around for a while yet. And you can pretty much guarantee they'll do the whole using the 'o's of "of" & "Solace" in the 007 symbol thing.
