Missed 'Naked Weapon' last Sunday - was watching the football. I'm sure it'll be repeated at some point. It's no-brainer fun.

This weekend's movies are:

Full Contact - cool, but I've got the DVD
Beast Cops - overrated, not planning to watch it again

I thought Beast Cops was great. I havent seen in ages though, will give it another spin.
The Player showing of Island of Fire looked to be 1.85/1 (?) - tiny black bars, with the same translatiom as the HKL but the subs looked thinner (?)

Naked Weapon is dreadful. Not even Maggie Q can save it. Full Contact I have seen, and it is class.
I'll have to give Beast Cops a go; not seen it before.

Oh, and good attempt at keeping this thread up. Any chance of renaming it Shen, to something like 'Player films'?

The titles I've seen appear to have been cropped to about 1.66 for some reason. But still fine for general viewing. If you like the films buy the discs.

That's why God invented the VCR.

I forgot to mention that ITV4 showed Bullet in the Head last Saturday night in 16:9. I expect everyone here has seen it already though. And if not: why the fuck not?

Tomorrow night it's the classic City on Fire. So you've been given advance warning. 8)

City on Fire is screening twice tonight. Once at 10pm and again in the early hours (can't remember the exact time). It's a better film that Full Contact so if you have to choose...

EDIT: Film was only on once so don't always trust the on-line listings.

Actually, now that I remember, last week they showed Musa, the Warrior and The Heroic Trio. Forgot to post. Didn't watch either.

It's great all these HK/Korean action movies on Player isn't it. :D It's a pity I've seen most but with no channel reallyshowing much if any HK action this is a good thing. Let's hope they show even more films!

The only problem for me is that because they only show HKL/PA titles I've seen all the ones I want to already.
