Ruth went through tonight. Great performance My GOD she is hot
Scott went out (he was in Bottom 2), he was pretty crap and although Daniel is a pub singer (IMHO), he stayed in (WHY?!!!) after being in Bottom 2 as he displayed more emotion on his performance I did feel for him, he was singing for his wife and there were tears in his eyes

Where on earth was Ruth and Daniel in the charity song? Most suspect.

I'm glad Scott has gone, awful singer. I like Diane, her quirkiness is sexy but I don't think she has a great voice, still it is different, which is something. Simon saying "I'll pick Scott or Daniel based on the best performance" and then picking the worse singer to keep (Scott) was a joke.

Daniel is pretty poor but he's better than winging Scott. We just need to get rid of Owen now. I now I've spelt it wrong.

I think Daniel gave a better PERFORMANCE than Scott though and thats why he stayed.
I thought Eoghan was very mediocre at best - a standing ovation WTF! Most of the song he was so damn quiet!

I think Eoghan is getting better but he's very average still.
Leona (XF3 winner) was amazing singing Run on Saturday's show.
I'm nervous for Ruth though and hope she isnt in the bottom 2.

Diana was truly shite on Saturday (admitteldy not all her fault due to illness). She sounded like she was juggling pickled eggs in her throat.

Sadly I cannot see Ruth making the final.

While it was a disappointment Ruth went, she's easily a much, much better singer than The Egg (:D) I wouldn't say it was fixed.

Ruth has had it hard with the British public since the start of the live shows. It was the judges who kept her in. I suspect it has something to do with Ruth not being British, Mark disagrees but it comes back to my racist comment in his signature.

That said, Danni really didn't play to Ruth's strengths, sure she can sing but what happened to the Spanish? It disappeared after the second or was it even first live show.


I cannot understand why The Egg is still in it, he's rubbish, utter tosh. Diana has an interesting and unusual voice but I wouldn't exactly say it's a great one.

My vote is for Alexandria to win, which would be a shame. Yes she can definitely sing (the best in the competition) but we've heard it all before. You couldn't tell her and Leona apart.

I want JLC to win. I'd much rather listen to them on the radio, something different. There cover of Hit Me Baby One More Time was awful though. I hope Cowell never does a Britney Spears weak again. It makes it much harder for the boys and frankly her songs just aren't very good. Sure when Britney sings them they sound good enough but they've been mucked about with so much in the studio that's not surprising.

Alex has a far better low register than Leona IMO and a different sort of voice so I could tell them apart. She was excellent last night, the Beyonce song was outstanding
Dannii has been playing to Ruth's strengths as a rock chick type singer and she's been brilliant. Her performance of Always was superb, that wasnt a talent show performance - that would suit an arena. I Love Rock and Roll was good fun and Ruth looked sooo sexy

Diana's voice is unusual but unfortunately these past few weeks she has been consistently bad - sweet girl and I have nothing against her as a person but her vocal was pretty appalling, she murdered Everybody Hurts I couldn't understand what she was singing on Yellow and Patience either. Why cant she sing normally?
JLS aren't too bad but rather dated - very 90's IMO.

Low register??? Are you Simon Cowell suddenly . Seriously I can technically tell them apart (I can tell Take That and Westlife apart) but that's not what I meant. They both sing identical types of music.

To be fair to most of the acts, they're consistently given rubbish songs to sing. They then prove this by picking decent songs in the "sing off".

Is there really a market for boybands any more? I'm not sure. Fair point about Diana's voice, at least she's different and, for XF, unique - but James Blunt can control his vocal quirks/falsetto and Diana is all over the place IMO.

Diana is much younger, remember. I'm sure there's a market for boybands.

It's also worth remembering none of them have much charisma or presence, other than what they have naturally. They've only been in the music business five minutes.

That's what pissed me off when Austin went out, the winging git moaned about how it's all over. He's only a kid, whose been singing for all of 5 minutes. Everyone else has to work at their respective field for years before getting anywhere.

Work at it like everyone else and if you're good you'll be discovered sooner or later. Otherwise shut up.

I thought Austin was well spoken on going out, he said it wasnt the end of the world and had some perspective, saying there were people worse off than him like the soldier who had lost his legs, and Ruth was lovely and really gracious, Scott (the bluecoat) was just a whinging chav IMO.

If Eoghan or Diana win this will be a complete joke. Consider - Leonard Cohen never really "sang" a song and was more of a poet (IMO), I've listened to him record The Dealer and Hallelujah, and Cohen more speak-sings than actually sings.

I bet Alexandra will win and can see JLS also getting a record deal.

I didn't watch it last night (I was too busy getting drunk for my soon to be 30th) but I'm surprised to see Diana is out. I would've said it would be JLS for sure.

I'm surprised they've made the final, although they definitely deserve it. I cannot believe The Egg is still in it.
