Wait, are you taking the mickey and made that quoted reply up or is that from a PM that Brad had sent?saltysam wrote:Agreed and apology acceptedbradavon wrote:
I've tried to lecture you on HD on this forum despite not being able to play HD but now realise the error of my foolish ways..For this saltysam i am truly sorry and apologise. I'm well aware you know far more than I do

Salty made the statement up by selectively quoting from comments brad has made in this thread.EvaUnit02 wrote:Wait, are you taking the mickey and made that quoted reply up or is that from a PM that Brad had sent?

You're mistaken. I said the evidence was flimsy that Panmedia were bootleggers and I equally said if they were "I personally" didn't care, which Yi-long also agreed btw.Ivan Drago wrote:And let us not forget Brad's insistence that Panmedia did not do bootlegs.
AFAIK Panmedia's DVD is still the best looking DVD of Pedicab Driver out there. If I wanted said film it being a bootleg wouldn't stop me getting hold of it.
Guess what turned up todaysaltysam wrote:He's bad enough now when he doesn't have HD, just wait until he gets his player

I just had a look at the Come Drink With Me disc BTW, it looks very good. I t opens with DD promos for the Shaws disc and "Flash Point" (is that any good?)
The transfer looks excellent, 16/9 makes a hell of a difference. It also seems to play at NTSC (the proper speed) going by the sound of the Shaws logo.
The music on the menu sounds very familliar, maybe HKL used it back in the day. The comm. with Bey and CPP is newly recorded.
The translation is different to the IVL, whether its more accurate I cant say, but of course it doesnt have the repeating subs the IVL had. One thing I will say though is in the part where Yueh Hua is singing with the kids, the line "Wonderful wine, wonderful wine" is replaced with "Yellow rice soup, yellow rice soup?" ???
How does the DD of Last Hurrah for Chivalry compare to the HKL? I don't feel the need to upgrade my 36th Chamber disc from the IVL really.
Also included are the original HK trailers (unrestored) for Come Drink With Me and Heroes of the East. As with HKL, the onscreen text is subtitled. Nice.
