Agreed and apology accepted
Wait, are you taking the mickey and made that quoted reply up or is that from a PM that Brad had sent?

Christ, it had better not be the latter, you'd be such a hypocrite.

If I were to clean up this board and ban all the trolls, I'd be the only member left.
You people are unbelievable. :D
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Salty made the statement up by selectively quoting from comments brad has made in this thread.

He he very good :D. You're mistaken though I know more about HD than you give me credit ;). You don't need an HD Player itself to research up on the subject and read forums. Note to Mark: HD not HK!
Ivan Drago wrote:And let us not forget Brad's insistence that Panmedia did not do bootlegs.
You're mistaken. I said the evidence was flimsy that Panmedia were bootleggers and I equally said if they were "I personally" didn't care, which Yi-long also agreed btw.

AFAIK Panmedia's DVD is still the best looking DVD of Pedicab Driver out there. If I wanted said film it being a bootleg wouldn't stop me getting hold of it.

I could post a PM where I did profusely apologise to you, but I won't ;). Stop talking bollocks, you of all people should know I've apologised when I've done something wrong. Compared to many on this forum my ego is minute :D.

Yup, Fong Sai Yuk is arguably my favourite Jet Li movie (humour, over the top fight scenes)... so I've been hanging out for years for a decent copy of that - my Universe R3 DVD really is terrible. :p

FSY2 is ok too, but pales in comparison to FSY1 imho.

The Universe DVDs are so poor aren't they and to think the Universe Tai Chi Master is even worse.

The 5.1 remixes are hideous. That makes the HKL ones look outstanding by comparison.

Yeah, I've got the Universe Tai Chi Master as well. :\ Can't believe it's taken so long for a decent copy of these movies to come out.

I tried to sell my Tai Chi Master Universe, which was pointless, who'd buy it? I then took great pleasure in chucking it in the bin :D.

I have a fansubbed DVD Rip of the French DVD. It looks excellent.

Thanks Lee, an interesting read. Bey should win an award for the amount of times he's managed to shoehorn Medallion in somewhere :D.

That photo is hilarious.

I just had a look at the Come Drink With Me disc BTW, it looks very good. I t opens with DD promos for the Shaws disc and "Flash Point" (is that any good?)

The transfer looks excellent, 16/9 makes a hell of a difference. It also seems to play at NTSC (the proper speed) going by the sound of the Shaws logo.

The music on the menu sounds very familliar, maybe HKL used it back in the day. The comm. with Bey and CPP is newly recorded.

The translation is different to the IVL, whether its more accurate I cant say, but of course it doesnt have the repeating subs the IVL had. One thing I will say though is in the part where Yueh Hua is singing with the kids, the line "Wonderful wine, wonderful wine" is replaced with "Yellow rice soup, yellow rice soup?" ???
How does the DD of Last Hurrah for Chivalry compare to the HKL? I don't feel the need to upgrade my 36th Chamber disc from the IVL really.

Also included are the original HK trailers (unrestored) for Come Drink With Me and Heroes of the East. As with HKL, the onscreen text is subtitled. Nice.

36th Chamber is probably my favorite of DD's single disc releases. Thats the one to get IMO.
