Been trying to find out what a SmartSave card is, and all I can really find is offers that you can get with one, not how you get one. Think it is something to do with Barclays though...

if anyone else has any info, it would be appreciated!!!

The same I use for DVDs. The £1 link + the £1 voucher. If it worked for DVDs for you then it will work for CDs.
degeneration wrote:I click the link and everything on the front page has 20% off the shown price, but as soon as you click on any other link the price change has gone. Even if you clikc the add to basket icon on any cd that says £7 on it or something, it appears in the basket at full price...
Doh!

I've found CD WOW use their discretion on this one. It also stipulates you MUST only use one voucher per order. Who here does that? :D

Others have had ordered cancelled for using two vouchers though. I never have.

I cannot get any 1 pound voucher to knock 1 pound of a CD, put the link you are using here as I tried every one on the thread on here, and everyone on other sites I know off and all dont work for cds, except one lowly 60p voucher :) I want that extra 40p :D

This will answer your question Romero & Mark:

UPDATES:

1. ALL £1 voucher links in the e-tailors thread have expired except the DVD only one.
2. Replaced with a new working £1 voucher link that works for CDs and DVDs (it was supposed to expire on 11/03!) *
3. 20% voucher removed.
4. 3x £1 vouchers (code or link unknown) but it's not working for me:

http://www.cd-wow.com/promotion.php?pro ... de=14839_1

* The source link says 75p but it's actually £1 :D

$5 off at Yes asia, it expires on the 31st of May:

http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=57176

I may add it to the e-tailors vouchers thread but for only 12 days use I'm not sure it's worth it.

I wonder if this will make them reasonable prices? KoreanDVDs and/or CD WOW are always cheaper for me.

It's not new but they don't seem to have any pattern to whose orders they cancel.

I've never had an order cancelled but I know Bruce Leeroy has. I've not tried in the last few days though.

That's strange. So for the sake of two pounds they lose two orders. Not good business sense. Especially when it's not a rule that applies on every occasion. I got an order yesterday from them that used voucher+ link. No problems. Maybe if you're a regular customer they overlook it? You order much Rico?

What happens when CDWOW cancel a voucher order? so they email you and say you used vouchers we are cnceling your order?

as some of my orders just got canceled and rewfunded with no explanation at all? :(

Iron Monkey Platimum Edition was one of them and it on the site still, so they have it I guess :(

Yep but you get an e-mail saying why they cancelled it (two vouchers being used). I had my first one cancellation today :( . I've never had a CD WOW order cancelled before except when they couldn't get the stock. I hope it's not the first of many.

I'll leave it a few weeks and try again using two vouchers. I'll order again what I had on preorder using one voucher in a moment. I suspect it didn't help being a preorder. I'd think orders in stock whizz through their system so quickly.

I have something else on preorder that's not been cancelled yet. It's been on preorder for about a month. Strange???

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to this and there was me thinking I'm special :D

I hope they're not cracking down. I placed my preorder a few days ago.

It's silly in a way as it costs them money to refund people (I believe?) and for the sake of £1! Still as it's only £1 I'm ordering again.

Yup I had Iron Monkey cancelled now as well :( no email saying why, just refund email and thats it, so I guess they could be out of stock, or they have caught on to me :( I have about 14 items preordered, so hope they dont cancel the rest :(

This sounds like the beginnings of gross stupidity to me.

So say all 14 of Romero's pre-orders are cancelled.

For the sake of 14 quid of vouchers they lose what between 10-15 times that much in actual order values?

Crazy. It's cutting of one's nose to spite one's face.

If they don't want people to use fucking vouchers don't make the fucking vouchers available. But don't let people order using fucking vouchers and then cancelling the fucking orders. That's just fucking stupid.

Romero, if all your orders get cancelled I would e-mail them and point out the loss of business and valued custom. No company can survive ass-fucking loyal customers and get away with it.

I have ordered maybe 250 items with vouchers, so I have given them plenty of orders that for sure, I will see how it pans out and maybe email them to see if they are out of stock of the items, or just angry I used a few hundred vouchers
