I don't like the electric guitar on it and cant understand what Alicia Keys is singing. It's better than Die Another Day but I guess that's faint praise.

The UK version of Quantum of Solace has been given a 12A certificate wirg no cuts, consumer advice of "Contains frequent moderate action violence".

Passed with no cuts, but only 106 minutes? I thought it would have hit the 2 hour mark. Maybe they trimmed the running time to please all the people who said Casino Royale was slightly over-long?

I didnt think Casino Royale was too long. I thought it was perfect.

106 minutes seems a bit short, for a Bond flick, knowing it will take place in all kinds of different places, with big stunts and such. It makes you wonder if they'll find the time to continue the development of Bond's character.

It's almost 40 minutes shorter than Casino Royale.

I'm going to be controversial and say I'm not a big fan of 'You Know My Name'. I prefer the '80s ones like 'Living Daylights' and 'A View to a Kill' haha.

The UK version of QOS has been pre-cut after a BBFC advice screening.

Same as happened to Casino Royale, Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies.

No idea if the uncut version will turn up anywhere?

When the completed version of the film was submitted for classification, reductions to one of those scenes had been made and the film was passed '12A' without cuts.

The US version is probably the same or worse.

I quite liked it too but agreed the 80s ones are better.

The Living Daylights is ace. Top A-Ha cheese, before they got more serious with their rock stuff.

That makes no sense. It says they'd likely pass it uncut but they cut it anyway.

Brad, yes it does make sense. It says that if the overall intensity of some scenes stayed the same they would most likely pass it uncut, but because of a stronger scene they didnt (I think)

Maybe. It seems to imply they reduced it, based on "the" version the BBFC saw. Hey I'm exhausted though. I'm currently walking 90 minutes a day to get me to/from work

It had a lot to follow up to. I'm not going to jump to assumptions just yet. I'd not rely on The Daily Mirror for a start. I'm determined to read as little about this one as possible.

Marc Forster is a good director too. If only Martin Campbell could direct all Bond films.
