Possible UK BD of House of Flying Daggers would be cut?

Would be missing a horse trip.

Yes it will be cut but the cuts don't bother me (I've compared the UK and HK DVDs) and it's significantly less cut than the USA offering. That's what I meant about it not interesting most here.
Although it's a pity it's cut, the 18 seconds of horse chase being cut isn't crucial to the story. You also would find it hard to spot it, unless you compare the two. It's not all of the chase/fight too, just a small part of it. I have the scenes cut on DivX if anyone wants me to upload them.
I'm hoping it has the excellent extras, most of which aren't on the USA DVD/BD.

I've managed to find the HOFD UK BD spec:

Spec:

Subtitles: English
Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1
I'm impressed, Fox have even managed to invent a new language

.
Extras:
Making Of Documentary
Visual Effects Featurette
'Lovers' music video with and without lyrics
Storyboard to film comparison
Filming locations
Photography Gallery
Costume Gallery
Props Gallery

Behind the scenes photography (Fields and Forest)
UK Theatrical Trailer
TV Spots
Yipeey! The Commentary is included. If I cannot find a review by the w/e I'll likely just order it and see for myself.

I hear what you're saying regarding cuts, but I'd probably wait for a future HK BD of this...if I wanted the film...and if I was Blu-Ray equipped

Fair enough. I can appreciate most here feel the same. I've not bought the USA BD as it looks like a DVD in most scenes apparently and for me it's seriously cut, unlike the UK BD which isn't.

Odd when all the spec sheets say it's included. I'll know in a day or two. I've just ordered it from eBay. £11.99 delivered, good price for a new release.

Yeah. DVDtalk slogger Criterion's dong so I wouldn't purchase solely based on one of their reviews. We need screen cap comparisons.

It's reviewed by Peter M. Bracke, ignore him, he's a total tool.

True Romance gets a poor review

one of my favourites as well

Hey looking at them caps it decimates the dvd, the detail is very high in them caps, pretty sharp as well with zero compression. Its easily worth an upgrade from the caps, unless the caps are the only good bits (I seriously doubt that).
The review is also from a dodgy as hell site in my eyes.
I wouldnt take that review too seriously myself

Which sites do you rate Romero, out of interest? You seem to hate them all

.
I reckon I'll be happy with True Romance.

Nope I dont hate them all, I just dislike sites which lie in reviews and give great marks to shit discs, which that site has done many times. Some reviewers are totally blind and obviously just write any old shit to make up a review. Not saying they have done that for that disc, but I dont ever take a word of what they say as reality anymore after some mess ups in the past.
When a site says an ignorant thing like this disc is free from edge enhancement or free from Noise Redution you expect the disc to be like that, many aint got a clue obviously.
This ones worth a look
