I'm not only 'dissing' women, but yeah, I do think it's mostly women who fuck their way to the top, in that business. It's also because most decisionmakers who can make or break a person, are heterosexual men. So I doubt many actors/male singers would even have the opportunity/option to fuck themselfs to the top. I'm sure many guys are willing to whore themselfs out in order to be more succesfull though. I just think it's more common that women actually have that option.

I'm sure some of you will now go and twist my words in a way that makes it seem like I'm a guy who loves beating up women while snorting coke from their dead babies bodies, but ehm... yeah... (!)

I dont know much about Joss Stone. I cant say I know 5 hitsongs from her, or anything. So she could very well be talented. Which even more raises the question why she would whore herself out, if she already has the talent to make it entirely on her own? If even talented artists are whoring themselfs to make a career, why should we be surprised if lesser talented people are trying the same thing!?

Cant say Shi Qi ever struck em as extremely talented btw. She's a cute looking girl who got lucky. I'm not trying to be negative or badmouthing her or something. It's just my opinion of her as an actress, in that she isnt very impressive, acting-wise. I'm sure there are more talented actresses sitting at home right now, waiting and hoping to land a job, while some whores are busy sucking producer-dick and getting the jobs they wouldnt have been qualified to get otherwise.

I meant Joss Stone is critically acclaimed, maybe not in Holland but all three of her albums have done very well over here (particular the second one).

What does that article say about Joss Stone? As per usual the converter makes no sense at all.

Shu Qi isn't the most talented actress in the world but I think she has some talent. I am also saying I don't believe tabloid press just because it's in print. You may also include men in your sentence but it's women you've written paragraphs about not men!

I'm sure there are more talented actresses sitting at home right now, waiting and hoping to land a job, while some whores are busy sucking producer-dick and getting the jobs they wouldnt have been qualified to get otherwise.

NOW, years later, she can act, although she still isnt a Gong Li or whatever, but in the beginning, she was mediocre to ok-ish.
Would she have gotten a job on talent and quality alone!? I doubt it, cause I'm sure there are way more talented people out there waiting for a chance, but it's possible.

I dont know. They might have the writing skills and thus a decent amount of IQ to do the job, but personally, when your job is to find dirt and/or lies on other people, you are severely lacking in EQ and just basic social values. It will be people who lack empathy and are egoistical. Personally, I havent found many very smart people who also lack empathy. Most smart people can think of the effects some stuff will have on other people's lifes, and unless they're complete assholes, they would try to do the good thing. Printing lies and filth isnt really a sign of high intelligence.

Plus I doubt it takes a highly intelligent person to write that crap. Maybe they are still able to write at that 'uneducated' level because they never developed and progressed further from their experience at the local schoolpaper... !?

I dont know, logical thinking about this subject just tells me those guys and girls writing this crap, cant be HIGHLY intelligent. Maybe an IQ of 110-115 tops...

Gong Li is much older, that's an unfair comparison. Even then does she have to be "as" talented as Gong Li? Plenty of actresses aren't in her league it doesn't mean they're bad at what they.

That's true. I was taught how to 'write for tabloids' when I did Journalism at College. You actually have to think about dumbing down.

I read somewhere the amount of different words The Sun uses is in the hundreds. They deliberately stay away from using rarer words in case their readers won't understand them.

If don't understand a word in a broadsheet I'll try and remember it then will look it up when I get home. I cannot bloody stand the size of some broadsheets though, it puts me right off.
