Angry dad sells $100 game for $10,000

Post by EvaUnit02 »

After catching his 15-year-old smoking pot, a Canadian man sold the hard-to-get Guitar Hero III video game he bought his son for $US90 ($103) for Christmas at an online auction, fetching $US9,100 ($10,420) from an Australian buyer.

There's still a Wii shortage in the US last I heard. GH3 will be one of the big sellers this Xmas season, and considering that there's hardly any worthwhile games on Wii... Wii's massive install base of non-gamers/casuals will likely be wanting this game in droves.

Hmmm, don't know. I am currently playing "Super Mario Galaxy" and it rocks. After that I have "Metroid 3" waiting for me and "Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles" is already on its way to me. These games should keep me busy until "Mario Kart Wii" and "Super Smash Bros".

FYI, didn't we go through this, yet? I mean right when it was announced that the new Nintendo was going to be called Wii.

And why does "wee" mean "piss" in Scotland? Because you guys refer to yourselves as such? Like "Wee are Scottish..."

Metroid Prime 3 has been put since August in the US, so that doesn't count.

Does Umbrella Chronicles require the zapper? Less people would buy it if it does. So that leaves Galaxy. Now look at all the numerous BIG titles (counting multiplatform) released for X360 in Q4 2007. There's still a big drought for Wii game in the US this Xmas season.

Not really as the zapper is just a piece of plastic where the wiimote and the nunchuk fit in. I have it, got it with "Link's Crossbow Training" (which is really fun btw, but very short). It's easier to play without the zapper, though, but not as much as as with it.

I know, but I don't care, because I don't own an X-Box 360. If I did, then I'd get X-Box games as well, so I don't see a problem there.
