Spend £20 and get £2 off jeez they're kind :D

Still it's better than nothing. I got the e-mail too. I doubt I'll use it though as even after discount the price is still too steep and crucially is still over the customs limit price.

Unless the 5000 Yen price includes postage?

When you're gonna spend £20 anyway it is very nice if you can get £2 off. It's not like someone would spend £20 to get a coupon.

Not everybody lives in the UK.

I know :? . What's your point? I was obviously talking from my point of view.

Do you know if the 5000 Yen is before or after postage?

Does anyone know what the minimum order value at Amazon.co.uk is, to get free postage?

It says £15 but I've just bought two items coming to £14.94 and it's let me change it to Free postage. I know it's close to £15 but it used to "have" to be £15 or more.

Thanks. CD WOW have the habit of adding titles during the sale so I guess this is just the start of it. It's annoying as I like to look once-twice then that's it.

Most of the prices are their normal prices!!!

I cannot see it on the homepage:

I've added/renamed several threads so we can have individual Bargains threads. Post in the relevant thread or continue to in General, it's up to you.

* Play Bargains: https://www.bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/ ... php?t=4184
* Amazon Bargains: https://www.bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/ ... php?t=4104
* Sendit Bargains: https://www.bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/ ... php?t=3013
* HMV Bargains: https://www.bulletsnbabesdvd.com/forums/ ... php?t=4133

degeneration wrote:How do you get the link AND voucher to work?
You get hold of a $2 code via e-mail, if it has a link in the e-mail you can ignore it. You then fire up Bullets (or direct if you've copied it into the clipboard) and click on the USD link.

This knocks off money automatically, then add in the code at checkout and hey presto. That's obviously the short answer, two things to note:

1. CD WOW uses "session cookies" whereby if you visit CD WOW "at all" it will leave a temporary cookie on your PC which could very well prevent any link or code from loading correctly. This is easily fixed by closing ALL browser windows of the browser you're using (i.e- IE or Firefox) and reload it. Then go direct to the CD WOW link in question.
2. Most but certainly not all work with the Link type of voucher, this can happen with cheap DVDs/CDs. I do find if one link doesn't work try one of the other links. Don't forget the Mist post below the main one, in the e-tailors thread.
degeneration wrote:and then the voucher code didn't work...
What happened when you pasted it in? An error would've been given why it failed.
degeneration wrote:What's the max discount available just now for the UK and US sites?
Between $2-$8 using the USD Link, it changes per item. Then another $2 using the code. The overall reduction can be anything from roughly 25% to 50% less.

I hope that helps.

CHeers for the quick reply. Just tried it out and getting the same problem.

When I puti n the code I'm sent by email it is saying "Sorry but your e-voucher has no more credit left on it!" And I closed all my browser windows before I went to the link as well.

That's what happened last time as well.

The link is taking $2 off the scrubs DVDs, but I want that extra $2 off!!

No worries.

The "closing browser" thing is for when links don't load at all or properly. That's not the problem here as you're trying to enter a code. If the Voucher Link knocks off the correct amount or the Voucher Code (link) loads the form page then it's not a "session cookie" problem.

I presume the code is brand new right? Hold up are you entering the same e-mail address each time you request the code? (i.e - in the form you enter your address into from the code link). If so that will be why. It doesn't say this but if you enter the "exact" same e-mail address it will just re-e-mail you the same code. Which I'd guess you've already used.

I bet that's it. As long as the e-mail address is different by even 1 character you'll be e-mailed a new code.

$4 is only £2. If you have no access to another e-mail address you could try one of the UK Combos (Code + Link) deals.

You can no longer get £2 off with Combos but maybe able to get £1.60 or thereabouts. Give it a try. I'm surprised the $2-8 USD Link only knocks $2 off for Scrubs. I guess because it's a box set.

Another Wherehouse.com voucher offer:
"Get Free Standard or International Shipping on every order of $50 or more from Wherehouse.com! Just use the promo code "FS5148" at checkout. But hurry - Sale ends 01/10/08. Use the promo code as many times as you want or forward it to a friend."
I won't be using it this time as 50 bucks is just too much too risk. Both my Wherehouse.com HD-DVDs arrived and in acceptable nick.

Goodfellas had sellotape on the edge which left a bit of glue residue but it was no worse than shop labels. Disc 2 of Dreamgirls has very minor scratches, the sort you always get after time anyway. They were a good price and perfectly fine IMO.

Play a CD WOW April Fool game:

Say whether the hoaxes are true/false. If you get 1 question right you get a £1 voucher. Get all 12 right and get a £2 voucher.

Thanks Grim.

It's worth a pop, especially if it's a code.

It actually said £1 for each correct answer and £2 if you get them all right. Surely you should get £12 then not £2?

Really! Thanks.

I said True for all of them as I didn't have a Scooby Doo :D. Grim told me the answer to the first one.
