I'm so glad they have bumped Fist of Legend from the schedule in order to bring us Rob-B-Hood(!)

Artwork for "Rob-B-Hood" seems to be removed. They might update it with a better one.

There could be a good reason for this ;) . Maybe there is a technical reason why FOL has been delayed.

Really? Like what?
I can buy a mint-condition bootleg of the French DVD with english subs today. So why cant a huge company like Weinstein's just release this movie on time?

By the time FOL comes out on DVD, I have already moved on to HDDVD/Blu-ray, and my bitching will never end :D

I said a reason? I'm just saying based on listening to Bey Logan interviews he always comes across as an honest guy and they know full well how popular FOL is.

Maybe they're waiting on extras? Maybe they're waiting on a good master? Maybe they're waiting on decent subs? It stands to reason they'll want to do this particular title right and get it out as soon as possible, but without sacrificing quality. Can you imagine the uproar if they stuff it up? I'm just saying there could be reasons we don't know about.

As to the a Bootleg of the French DVD with English subs, seriously dude just buy it. If it looks anything like the French DVD of Tai Chi Master bootleg with English subs it will be gorgeous.

Donno about that. The start has some dodgy motion.

Maybe Dimension handled the transfer better.

Compared to all other "available" versions of Tai Chi Master the French DVD is stunning ;)

It's lame because it ain't a DD cover, but a rip-off of their design.

Isn't the lame cover the least worrying thing? That's an obvious bootleg, right?

No, that's just Image's legit DVD release. Hopefully, it'll have a proper NTSC conversion, Cantonese and English mono with remastered subtitles. I don't hold much hope as they're bitchy contract with Celestial cost us quality releases.

Look at her arms FFS!

Wow, they've gone low. Or have I just lost my touch not being able to tell a bootleg from the cover anymore?

The cover (in addition to DD's) is identical to Fusian's range too :P.

R1 coverdesign is very often extremely crap. Especially for the less-mainstream titles, released by companies who apparently let interns or 60 year olds do their coverdesigns...

I thought it was a DD release :D . They have some Shaw titles right? I thought it was a new sublabel.

Both Image and DD are separate, and due to release more films.

Another company sublicensing Celestial's catologue is Media Blasters.

Image have screwed up their Shaw releases royally.

Shaolin Intruders is a good Kung Fu film though; simple plot with lots of crisp action.

DD's Shaw titles have done very well so it comes as no surprise that Image is ripping off DD's cover designs.

That is correct...

but it's less to do with the covers, and more more DD releasing good, well known titles in quality transfers with extras. This was something Image had the chance to do, and didn't. Having seen the list Image was picking from, they could have a collection the equal of DD's easily. Part of the fault of these releases is Celestial's iron hand, but from the start, Image didn't really give the line the attention it deserves. Now they're scrambling to figure out what DD is doing to sell units, which is simply giving these films some thought and care. This is something Image could have done long ago instead of playing catch up now.
