Banned Paris Hilton advert (for Burger King)
Aye that's the thing. There's an advert for Burger King which featured Paris Hilton but it got banned in the UK. I can understand if they don't show it before 9pm but maybe afterwards is OK. Anyways, the British public's favourite pastime is bitching about TV adverts so I'm not that surprised anyway - especially after the KFC fiasco (the one with the singing emergency helpline women singing whilst stuffing themselves with KFC food).

Wasn't it banned in some American states also?
I kind of see the point. Is it a good idea to make burgers so fasionable? When both America and the UK has a obese epidemic.
Especially when the advert has nothing to do with burgers! Personally I don't think she's all that attractive. Makeup does a lot!

If you have I'd recommend downloading it.
p.s - She washes a sports car with skimpy gear on, covering soapy water all over her while eating a huge burger!

She's only a celebrity because she comes from a FILTHY RICH FAMILY! If she had even a scrap of talent, we'd be hearing her butcher the lyrics to "I Love Paris" over the speakers. But she has none. She's completely devoid of any talent. Her surgically-altered body is the only thing money has helped her with.
And as for the ad, it's for Hardee's/Carl's Jr. How can it be banned in the UK? Do you even HAVE those fast food restaurants there? I didn't think so.

As Grim says we have Burger King but I don't know anyone who goes to them.
Fast food burger joints suck IMO. The food sucks (the fries are okay) and so does the whole philosophy of the places.
Give me fast cooked while you wait burgers any day. Have you guys/gals tried "Schwartz Brothers" I think they are nation wide and hopefully international. They sell the best burgers money can buy.
I can't find a web link though

Hardee's/Carl's Jr. is the name of the restaurant franchise. I can't remember which one bought out the other, but Carl's Jr. is all over the west coast, and Hardees is big on the east coast. As far as fast food burgers go, these are some of the best. Their big seller is "the six-dollar burger" which doesn't cost that much, but tastes like one from a restaurant where it would cost $6.bradavon wrote:Oh "Hardee's/Carl's Jr" is the burger name. Just out today:
Hardee's Commercial Featuring Paris Hilton Won't Air In N.C.
POSTED: 12:33 pm EDT June 25, 2005
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Hardee's biggest franchisee said it won't air a racy television commercial in North Carolina that features a barely clothed Paris Hilton washing a car and noshing on a huge hamburger.
The head of Boddie-Noell Enterprises said he knows the commercial would play well with some customers, but others -- including some of the company's employees -- would be offended.
"While we are all for pushing the envelope of things, we felt it was too edgy," said Bill Boddie, the Rocky Mount, N.C., company's president and chief executive officer.
Hardee's owners in each TV market decide whether to air the company's commercials. Boddie-Noell owns 315 Hardee's in four states, including Virginia and North Carolina.
The ad premiered last month on the West Coast, touting a new burger for the Carl's Jr. hamburger chain -- which, like Hardee's, is owned by CKE Restaurants.
The same ad will be used to promote Hardee's new Spicy BBQ Thickburger starting next week.
The ad instantly sparked controversy, prompting Hardee's to promise that it won't air it in any market before 9 p.m. But it won't air at all in the markets dominated by Boddie-Noell, including North Carolina.
Boddie said he tried to keep an open mind when the commercial first aired, but was swayed by community reaction.
"We made a pretty quick decision not to run it," he said.

They should but there is no need to apologise you were merely stating they sell baguettes.
Anyway . . .
LOL that is so funny 68 Monkey. It amazes me how anally conservative people can be. It seemed to be worse in America but we have our conservatives here too!
p.s - Did they see a different advert as Paris is very much clothed. She's wearing more clothes than you see on the average beach.
Before 9pm
