I normally I would but I have a slew of DVDs to watch ahead of it and I don't like buying DVDs it's likely I'll only go and sell on. When I want to check it out P2P will be my friend, he'll lend it to me

It's long too late for me. I joined the dark side several years ago

I rarely use P2P to download movies as I prefer to own the DVD or HD Disc, but a few films don't deserve my money. I have a feeling for me Planet Terror will be one of those such films.

That and DivX/Xvid while decent is pants in comparison (it's hard to source DivX/Xvid with 5.1 audio too), ripped DVDs take too long to download. As far as music goes I only ever download the odd single or stuff you cannot buy like rare B Sides/Live stuff. Again I prefer to own the product, it sounds better in my CD Player too.

P2P is a godsend for ultra rare stuff.

Such as Unofficial Fan made DTS CDs. Usually sourced from the SACD/DVD-A or even Remastered from the CD, those can obviously sound a wee bit flat. I'd buy official versions if they actually sold them.

I plan to sell my Universal DVD Player when I get a HD Player in hopefully January. I've managed to find most of my SACDs in DTS CD form. DVD-A's already have a DVD-Video compatible DTS (or DD5.1) mix.

As Hung points out Porn isn't specifically always used to turn someone on.

If it's a "Porn film" in the strictest sense then of course it's sole purpose is to turn someone on but porn added into an otherwise mainstream film may not be there to suddenlly turn someone on.

It wouldn't make much sense if it was, who'd rent a mainstream film (in the loosest sense of the word) for the few minutes of porn? Porn films tend to have a few minutes of awful story then the rest of the 60-70 minute running time is fucking and variations of it.

Assault! Jack the Ripper (Japan, 1976) – 3/5
Yasuhare Hasebe’s Assault! Jack the Ripper has a reputation as one of the best, and also most notorious violent pinku films ever produced by the Nikkatsu studios. Unfortunately the film doesn’t quite live up to the expectations. It’s a nastly film but not an especially graphic one. The story of a shy young man who after being provoked by his wild girlfriend slowly turns into a murderer is fascinating, but ultimately underdeveloped, partly due to the short running time and overload of sex scenes. Hasebe’s direction is quite original but not fit for all tastes.

Ero shogun to 21-nin no aisho (Japan, 1972) – 3,5/5
Norifumi Suzuki knows how to make small budget pinku eiga look like an epic. Ero shogun to 21-nin no aisho stars a wide variety of genre starlets, including Yoko Mihara, Emi Shiro and Miki Sugimoto, as the women of the shogun’s inner palace. The most memorable is Reiko Ike as a sexy female ninja! Her sword-inside-an-umbrella fight scene in the rain was later re-used by Teruo Ishii in Female Yakuza Tale. Suzuki’s film however is not an action pic but a stylish and often over the top drama-comedy that only suffers from too much flesh.

(PQ/extras?) The one I rented was the 2001 SE (I think) and I thought the transfer was fine.
