Yeah but they all have to talk in sound bites. Every time they say something like "Not your best performance" or anything constructive the pantomime booing starts
Are we the only ones posting on this thread? :D Surprised Mark hasn't posted.

I've not been watching.... can't really comment on the show.

If they replace all the judges (including Cowl) I might watch next year.

Cowell won't be sacked. He has too much power :D
I hate Walsh, he is a spiteful, annoying little man. All the judges snipe at each other but Louis is using Same Difference to get back at Simon for the McD's last year. I think SD are awful (though if kids like them then thats OK, they have their place :) ) but thats not the point.

Cowell runs the show. Walsh is no more spiteful than Cowell. Danni's is always so nice which is even more annoying.

What's the beef with McD? I didn't watch last year.

Simon took the piss out of them for being Scots IIRC.
Dannii and Sharon are the "nice" judges, even when they're supposed to mean theyre never really mean. Sharon says everything is "fabulous" :)
I saw Rhydian's audition recently, it was amusing, though he seemed a bit up himself he sang well. I liked it when he came in "My name is Rhydian, some people call me Rhyd or the Rhyddler" and Simon is like '"The Riddler...? :?" :D

I heard Week 6 is "Love Songs", I think some of those would be perfect for the Riddler to show of his voice if he's going for a normal performance (no camp):

Something
The Long and Winding Road
(Something About) The Way You Look Tonight
Your Song (Moulin Rouge version)
Total Eclipse of the Heart

I presume they're your choices not the actual songs? I was thinking ballads would be a good idea.

There's an interesting interview here:

Yes they're my "choices" sorry :)
Interesting. Daniel said a similar thing when he got voted off, that he had his song choice messed about with etc. The skaters/choreography isn't Alisha's decision.
On the other hand.. Simon wasn't her mentor. Sharon was. She could have dropped the skaters?
Sour grapes...

As for Rhydian, even if he was in the bottom 2 last week, he would have been saved, as Simon knows he's the big draw.

Yeah, ballads would be good. Same Difference should do one, these past weeks they've only done bouncy/upbeat songs.
I'm sure Rhydders will get a song he can do in his opera style.

According to a forum post on Digital Spy, the winners song will be a "Mariah duet"

Here is the (apparent) song:

I thought that song sounded familliar. It's from The Prince of Egypt.

Because that's not been done to death  . The song needs to be original. It worked a treat for Girls Aloud and Leona Lewis.

But Leona's winning song wasn't original. It was sung by Kelly Clarkson when she won the first AI.
Was that  directed at me? :)

It was directed at "another" Mariah duet.

The choice is probably a bit limited. They need "pop" acts who don't mind appearing on a talent show (even if it is popular) and ones who're already in the UK, or will come to it.

Westlife is an obvious choice. My god they're past their sell by date though. They've become a bit of a joke. My (29 year old) sister still loves them. It's become a bit of a tradition for my brother to buy her the latest Westlife album for Xmas, which always get released around Xmas time

According to Rhydian's blog Cowell has stopped Rhyd singing the Simon and Garfunkel classic "Bridge Over Troubled Water".
Cowell is running the show isn't he? X Factor needs Rhyd more than he needs it

Does it say why?

I bet Rydian did a great job of it and Cowell got all worried. Cowell obviously runs the show. There's no way the other judges could interfere with one of Cowell's artists, as he calls them.

Artist? Please!

It didnt but I'd imagine Cowell thinks Rhyd is running away with it... so he wants to create "drama" and even up the playing field...?

I've read on DS it was changed as BOTW is not really a "love" song but apparently Rhyd is happy with his new song choice :)

According to Heatworld the songs this week are:

Beverley Trotman – Without You
Niki Evans – The Power of Love
Same Difference – Nothing's Gonna To Stop Us Now
Rhydian Roberts – Somewhere
Leon Jackson – You Don't Know Me
Hope – Hurt

Hope - Hurt.. WTF? Johnny Cash is rolling in his grave.
Without You seems a safe choice for Bev. Is Niki singing the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song or the MOR Jennifer Rush classic? I would guess the latter.
Rhydian should nail Somewhere.

Thanks. DS - Digital Spy, got it. That's a decent site. The forums are the best place to talk about Digital Set top boxes.

Who sang Somewhere?
Is Niki singing the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song or the MOR Jennifer Rush classic?
Which do you reckon? :D . I'm just guessing but I think it's a safe bet which.
Hope - Hurt.. WTF? Johnny Cash is rolling in his grave.
You really don't like Hope do you :D
