I got the full Monster Legacy for £30 earlier this year and then sold off the films I already had for the same price! So about 6-8 new films, AND the monster models. Excellent deal!

Received
- Tom Yum Goong 2 disc set (PA)
- Born to Fight
- Princess Mononoke R2

They arrived at my girlfriend's house this week. My pop-in-law watched TYG tonight and says the disc is bad (stuttering or whatever). It could be his cheap DVD player though, so I'll check for myself tomorrow eve. I hope it will be OK.

Deus Ex 2: The Invisible War (PC)
This game should with the unified texture pack, that replaces all the original textures (that were optimised for Xbox 1) with high-res ones.

Prey (PC) - whilst looking for the latest patch I found some visual enhancements that add cool new shader effects at no extra performance cost, I'll definitely give thoses a try.

The same author has made similar mods for Doom 3 and Quake 4.

Today I bought:

- Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring
- The Bow

It was 7,50 for a 2-pack! :)
I liked Samaritan Girl by the director, so hopefully I'll enjoy these movies as well....

Also bought Naruto (manga) 22, 23 and 24.

Grim... why do you always rent so much? For the price of a rental you can also just BUY the movies, and maybe afterwards just sell them (if you want) for 1-2 quid less than what you paid for it. Just buy these movies in a very cheap sale. I'm sure there are sites/stores that will sell Brotherhood of the Wolf for like 3-4 quid orso...

I havent rented a movie since I was 19 orso ... :N

There are many movies I'd rather just "check out" it seems impratical to buy them all IMO :)

But money-wise it's pretty much the same, plus you dont have the problem of spending money twice on movies you want as a keeper...
How much does renting a DVD cost ya?

It is ;) It's CD-WOW's rental service, though I've heard the one provided by Lovefilm themselves starts even cheaper :?

CD-Wow rental IS Lovefilm. The good thing about Lovefilm is that you can use them for nothing, I'm on my third 3 month trial with 2 dvd's/games at home. All you do is cancel and then reactivate with a code, no need to make new accounts or use different cards.

LFZZ98762 .
Cancel after 22:00 (don't try before) and then wait for them to get your discs back then reactivate using that code.

Those Absolute HCs are bloody expensive. I'd like to buy Absolute Sandman, but it's not exactly practical to read those things on the bus (which is where I tend to read my graphic novels and manga tankoubons).

I cant read in the car or on the bus, cause I'll get carsick.
Yeah, they're pretty expensive, but they are very good quality books so they will last you a life-time when you just put the somewhere save, like on a bookshelf. So for me 30-40 euro is OK.

BTW, I came across the books in a local American Bookstore in Amsterdam, where they were 85 euro a piece(!) Nutters. A guy asked me how much they were when I was checking them out, so I checked and said he'd be better off just ordering them online :)

I have never read Sandman before. Dont even know what it's about or what the artwork is about. I am more interested in the more classical characters of DC and Marvel.

I'm KINDA thinking of picking up the huge Captain America HC omnibus, but TBH I'm not that fond on the artwork. I read the first 6-7 issues of the story, and it was ok but not 'great'.

Anyway, the absolute crash of the dollar makes for some nice importing. TYG 2-disc (R2) for 5 euro from CD-wow and such :)

edit: I would LOVE some Absolute Superman; Man of Steel books btw, if they'd update the coloring in it to today's standards.
John Byrne's Superman was the ultimate version of Superman. Just absolutely brilliant.
