Ugh I hate Snow Patrol and Andy made a crap song sound even worse. I wasn't a huge Rhydian fan before but his performance was the equivalent of Carrie Underwood's version of Alone in American Idol, where Simon predicted that she would win (and she did).

That was good and it was rare in that it could hold it's own away from the film.

Does anyone else think they use way to much blue on the X-Factor stage? I know it sounds strange but it's really annoying. Dermot O'Reilly looks ill!

What was Dannii thinking? Rydian for once was woeful. They all sucked actually except for Hope and Beverly. This was easily the worst week yet.

Hope aren't the best singers but as they're a "pop band" they don't need to be, it's all about the image with a band but a solo artist it's much more about the singing.

Just look at The Spice Girls none of them can actually sing. Only two of Boyzone were ever any good.

It's obvious Alisha was on borrowed time. I'm surprised Hope were in the bottom two again though. The only reason Rydian got through is because he's normally good. I cannot believe Leon keeps getting though. He's one of the weakest of the lot, at least Alisha isn't nervous 24/7. That gets really annoying. I'm sure it's not easy but don't do it if you cannot handle it.

I saw Rhydian was the last person to be announced when he got through before they got to the bottom 2. I didn't see him but I fully expect camp, OTT Rhydian but a good voice.
I thought Hope were good, some of them are attractive in 70's garb

It was a good performance (Pheobe can sing), plus the cheeky addition of Madonna's Hung Up vocals

I just Youtubed Rhydian's performance. It was camp as Christmas, and after his superb rendition last week maybe I don't want to see OTT every week, but I rather enjoyed it

I thought Simon was very unfair saying Niki was like a "mum at a wedding". If I was a mum I'd find that offensive. I thought her vocal was good.
Go West wasn't Rhydian's best vocal or performance IMO, a bit camp for my taste (though that is the nature of disco), god fun though.
Hope were very good I thought, but only Pheobe can really sing. Still they shouldn't have been in the bottom 2 IMO. They looked cute in the 70's outfits

The thing is it isn't. I wouldn't say The Bee Gees, Michael Jackson or Abba are camp.

I think some ABBA songs are camp but most aren't.
Well to be fair its the nature of the song then, if you look at Village People's original version.

I don't like Hope when they sing as a group, they're flat. Only Pheobe can sing anywhere near well, but her vocals were shouty.

I don't think it matters one jot. It's all about the image in a pop "band".

I'd like Hope to win as call me shallow but I would watch their music videos. I'd watch Rydian's too but would soon get bored of him. Can you imagine a hole album? He's a great singer but not something I could listen to a lot.

I own Girls Alloud's "Greatest Hits" on MP3. It's better than it really should be.

As I said earlier none of The Spice Girls can sing and Boyzone except for Ronan and that other guy (is it Stephen? The short one) can't sing at all. In the case of Boyzone the other three have no charisma at all.

I know what you mean, I'd listen to Rhydian sing (without the visuals) if he sang songs like You Raise Me Up but not if he camps it up like with Go West, Get The Party Started etc. I really like both Rhydians but you have to "see" Showman Rhydian to "get it" IMO and appreciate it.
I thought this was a poor week. There was too much bitching about the choreography, dancers etc, that's hardly the singers' fault.
I thought Leon was "OK", Same Difference were awful, why is the girl dressed up like some cheerleader and the guy with the schoolblazer, it looks stupid IMO.

Yes. Compared to the other members he's Pavarotti

It was by far the worst week yet. During The Xtra Factor Cowel said so too, it's clear he wasn't happy with it. Leon is okay but he's also very average. If he were a film maker he'd be Brett Ratner

I only recall Louis making one comment. Louis can be just a grumpy old man and Cowel is so absurdly arrogant. They love to hate each other.

Dannii is hot but she can be so annoying. She's either talking in an annoying voice like "Tonight you ARE a girl band!" and every time she has to vote one off she can never make her mind up.
