I haven't seen a bad review of Planet Terror anywhere,though i'm sure they are out there somewhere. it's just a stupid,entertaining movie no more,no less. most people who have seen both seem to prefer it over Death Proof. my main criticism of it would be that it's 15 minutes too long. Phantom Menace i've owned for years and still not seen. i've seen none of the new star wars films though i own them.

Revenge of the Sith is excellent and is the only one you need to see. The entire important back story is stuffed into that one. Attack of the Clones is also good but not a keeper and The Phantom Menace is a complete turkey, just woeful.

And you reckon any of the Star Wars films have good dialogue and acting? The dialogue in the first 3 Star Wars films is equally as woeful. The great Star Wars films are far from about that.

i read the mirror.what exactly's wrong with it. good labour supporting paper. 3/5 in Empire is hardly a bad review and it's not really a Tarantino movie is it. Anyway reviews don't really matter, best seeing it yourself. i doubt you'll like it though.

I think the acting and dialogue in Empire Strikes Back is pretty damn good. Leigh Brackett is a fine writer. Ironically, it's the Star Wars film on which Lucas had the least creative input

one of the worst reviewed movies ever at the time of it's cinema release in the uk was Mad Max. 20 odd years later we have on bullets a lengthy thread on the merits of the various dvd releases. Reviews count for very little. Blade Runner had crap reviews,now (almost) everyone bows down at the altar of it's supposed "greatness"

I don't know how I'll be seeing Planet Terror now. I deliberately waited to see it at the cinema and for my patience they don't go and bloody show it in my area. Thanks!

I suspect I'll end up downloading it, the DVD is out now so it should be a good rip. I'm too wary about it to buy the DVD. I rarely download but Rodriguez's film career doesn't exactly show many great films.

That's not his fault he has nothing to work with. All the Star Wars films have woeful scripts and even worse dialogue but with the original Star Wars Trilogy and Revenge of the Sith it doesn't matter as the stories are so good.

That's no surprise. Lucas is great at creating stories but awful at filmmaking.

That wasn't always the case. American Graffiti and THX 1138 are both great film making. And the original Star Wars isn't bad at all.

I too have seen very little bad press about Plannet Terror, in fact never seen it get less than 3 stars out of 5

if 3 stars is bad, then god save us. The Only place I saw it get bad press was on Radio 1, but then they are the worst tossers on the planet for reviewing films sad, looser, underhand cash dealers who only knobs listen to and take in. You may as well run out and read the reviews in the Daily Sport.

Personally I thought Planet Terror was pretty much identical to From Dusk Til Dawn in style & execution, so If you like DTD you should like PT.

Good for me then, as I love FDTD

This will be the first film I have paid to see for nearly a year and a half (been using pass for a long time now, making films cost a pound or 2. Its not showing locally, so have to pay for once, £6.35p! christ! betetr be good

They really have messed up the release of Grindhouse and both seperate films, what a sad thing when this stuff happens

You wait all this time to see a film in cinema, and it gets such a crap release in UK. Better be no chavs in the cinema! as I am off to see it soon, hope they are all on the streets drnkining and kicking tramps.

I wish Odeon (my local multiplex) would have one of those deals. Not that I go to multiplex if I can help it. I usually try and avoid it at all costs. Sterile, banal, bland, lemming infested, teenager swilling coke headed, popcorn smelling, mobile phone ringing, dickheads talking place that it is.

It's only playing in 1 of the 18 cinemas near me, 6 of which are multiplexes. Screw them. I was only interested in going if it was playing in my local 2 cinemas.

The festival I saw the double bill at only did so due to a clerical error on Momentum's part. Either Momentum or Weinstein actually tried to force the organisers to cancel the screening

No, but a Tarantino-related film would have to be an utter disaster on the level of Showgirls to get less that *** from Empire. It's a half of Grindhouse and Tarantino is in it. But then Empire loved Sin City so I should be too surprised...
