Floodings in UK and Holland!?

Post by Yi-Long »

I just saw a whale swim by my house: that cant be good...

J/K ;)

Anyway, quite a severe storm we're having here in Holland, and apparently England is also on High Alert.

Here in Holland, basically the main attitude of the goverment is:'meh.... should be ok... dont worry... dont worry....'

...which is comforting.... untill you start watching UK and USA sites and newschannels (CNN) who are all broadcasting about possibly extreme floods etc.

My house is 1 meter beneath sealevel, so... ehm... yeah... if you dont see me online after tomorrowmorning, then our goverment was probably wrong, and I'll be off to kill each and everyone of them... (it's not like they havent been warned in the past about these dangers or anything...(!) )

So who else on here is in a 'danger-zone'!?

You know... maybe... just maybe... living under sea-level isnt a good idea... ;)

Kinda amusing and frightening at the same time, to now see people at dutch forums also taking note of everyone else in the world seeing this as a huge potential disaster, while our own weatheranchor tonight just said :'pfff stormy... maybe 'A' storm... nothing big... '

I'm sure it will be ok. Probably some places that WILL have problems, but apparently there's an even bigger and more severe storm predicted for 2-3 weeks from now... which is slightly more worrying.

Damn that Al Gore and his whole Global Warming scheme! :P
