It could be one of the old commentaries for all we know sadly. He could barley speak english in them old ones, awful things.

I hope the commentary is new since Woo's English has massively improved since he did Criterion's in the mid 90's.

It won't be the Criterion commentary as isn't that a solo effort? But like I said it could be the Fox Lorbor/Winstar commentary. Personally I cannot see it. AFAIK DD/HKL have never bought a commentary before.

Hey everybody, I just got confirmation that the commentary for DD's fourthcoming The Killer DVD will not feature John Woo and Terence Chang but rather DD regular Bey Logan.

Where's the gratuitous Maggie shot? :D

Is this any good? It looks decent.

Thanks. That's a bit of a shame, not surprising though.

hey,

it's funny with the director Daniel Lee who has talent and even style when making dramas (Till Death Do Us Part, Moonlight Express) but often kills his action flicks with an MTV style. Have no real desire to see if this one falls under the category "stupid, therefore watchable".

"Dragon Squad" definitely had the potential to be a very good movie. What irritated me however is that instead of exploring one or two main characters they explore every a little. That's why the character development is not fully satisfying in my opinion. Cinematography and editing during the action scenes gave me a headache when I watched it at the theatre.

Good music, though.

That's a shame. Those captures are strange, the fourth looks good but the last two look awful.

The back of the box says the the movie is presented in 'scope' format while these screens are clearly not. I think DD should start putting the exact aspect ratio on their dvd boxes like Sony does.

HKL used to just put 16:9 on the back. Ironically, one of the first times they listed the ratio as 2.35:1 was for Police Story 2, which was anything but 2.35:1

A lot of people I know, especially chicks, like it. But I thought it was all around lacking. Not really a good movie.

Robin-B-Hood is nothing special, but it is a genuinely enjoyable film - which makes it easily JC's best HK film since Gorgeous. (Which isn't saying much, granted).
