Grim, you should find out why someone is upset before apologising, he may just have been winding you up again??

This is no joking matter, Yi. A debate about the various ramifications of preadolescents having sex is one thing. Discussing HOW a child would have sex? That is not a kosher topic, I will not tolerate it at all. Go to a kiddy fiddler forum.

Oh for God's sake Eva, I didn't mean in that sense, "discussing how a child would have sex" (surely the same way as everyone else?), I just meant its shocking these things go on.

I can't believe we've found something that actually offends Eva.

Well done, Grim.

Well, today it is 11/9/2007.. hard to believe it was 6 years ago :(
I'll just say I think we should remember all the people who lost their lives in our own way.
God bless.

blimey walked straight into my former female friend today, first time i've seen her since April. we chatted for around 20 minutes and it was pretty uncomfortable, small talk etc..i sensed she felt really awkward. i think next time we'll both pretend not to see each other. great shame how such a close and valued friendship can turn to shit :?

we were friends for a few years (she came to work in our place) i helped her out a lot.she moved to another department but we would still be in virtually constant contact day & night. early last year she decided to set up her own business, she asked me to work for her in my free time.anyway her business, which involved night work up and down the country took off but with me having a full time job it became too much for me.plus i felt i was being taken for granted,i was paying towards petrol and other expenses and i was working for her for free! it came to a head last april when after being in work from 5am in the morning i went out that night to work for her,she had a mood on with me for some reason and ignored me all night. i decided to quit that morning which i handled badly,i didn't tell her but told a colleague which led to some nasty emails from her. we hadn't spoken since until 2 weeks ago when she phoned work and i answered the phone,we spoke then for about 40 minutes and then i saw her yesterday for the first time. it was just awkward for the both of us,what had happened wasn't mentioned but there was a definite "atmosphere"..

Sounds like she was taking you for granted.

Obviously in retrospect it would've been better had you confronted her face-to-face and spoke your mind.

Maybe it's not too late though... next time you see her talk about it.

You may not become best friends again but at least you'll get it of your chest.

nah,too far gone for that i feel,i'm going to move on and try and forget about it.doesn't help though that although she has now left the company i work for (runs her business fulltime) she lives literally 10 minutes from my workplace,so bumping into her now and again is gonna be unavoidable.think next time i'll just say hello and carry on walking.

It'll gnaw away at you I promise...

Next time you see her invite her for a coffee and a chat.

You'll feel better.

yep,it has done since it happened but it was getting better until i saw her..

no won't be doing that, she's extremely stubborn and would make an excuse and turn the invite down. i'm putting it to bed and moving on (well that's the intention :) )

Annoying Loan advert banned
AN annoying advert has been banned by the Advertising Standards Agency - because it makes out it is too EASY to get a personal loan.

The watchdog slammed the ad, which shows a busy mother making a phone call for a £25,000 loan, as being overly “light-hearted.”

The ad, for Picture Financial Services, shows the mother being constantly disturbed by her husband and young child, telling the call centre, “Don’t worry, it’s always like this here. But at least I can get my credit sorted.”

The complaints came to light after a campaign on a MySpace webpage called for action.

Picture said it didn’t mean to suggest that taking a loan was something to be entered into lightly.
:D Not before time, I just thought it was really annoying. I hope that other one is banned as well, with the guy saying "There really easy to talk to..."

Of course they bloody are, theyre trying to get you to agree to a loan you middle class wanker! :D
I don't know why the mother doesnt tell the kid "I'm on the phone, find your own scooter, I'm busy".
