Hatchet 2/5

Daft american slasher flick is nonetheless fairly entertaining during it's 80 minutes runtime. A group of the usual idiots get stuck in a swamp, there's a killer on the loose and you can guess the rest. Fairly gory with cameos from genre stalwarts Robert Englund,Tony Todd & Kane Hodder. it also features the hot Mercedes McNab (Harmony from Buffy) who gets them out a few times,no bad thing

Not bad, but too childish.
Blasphemy! That's the whole appeal of Totoro, it's like jacking straight into your childhood subconscious when every little thing seemed wild and fantastical! Hands down Miyazaki's masterpiece. :D

I haven't seen too many Miyzaki's but yeah, it's fantastic and better than Kiki and Mononoke. And far better than Moving Castle and Spirited.

Spirited was superb. As was Mononoke, Laputa was very good.

Any day except the one where I have a dodgy looking moustache and aviators. Then I'd get to sodmise him with a baton whilst he dykes it out with Brad in a dress.

Gandhi - 5/5
If you're don't like this film you're probably a paedohpile or some other sort of ne'er do well. It's the last great epic and one of my favourite films. I'm really looking forward to the BD release, they'd best hurry it up - Lawrence of Arabia too.

Otaku no Video - 3/5
Decent parody but it does show its age a little in that it's a bit too gentle. If they made it today it would probably amuse me a lot more. But then it is supposed to be a bit of self-mockery so I suppose they wouldn't want to be too harsh on themselves. The DVD is authored terribly, it's a mix of interviews and animation and they break each section into a seperate title.

Pump Up The Volume 4/5

Nice Christian Slater film. Loved it when I was a teenager as it tuned in more with my rebel mentality back then, but still think it is a good film today.

Gone In 60 Seconds 3/5

Decent enough film that was plodding along nicely until the car jump near the end. From seeming quite real prior to then, it definitely lost points there. Quite like Angie's blonde look too...

Would be a bit hard for them to "dyke it out", since neither of them are women. Dyking out requires a minimum of two women.

Knock it off, girls.

I can nuke any of you with a single button that's got 3 letters on it.
Starts with "b", ends with "n" and it isn't "bun". :D
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

bon... cause there's two of you that he's talking about, that makes it "bon bon" which afaik is french for sweet...

Therefore logically we must conclude he thinks they are sweet...

Quit taking pot shots at me Lourdes.

I don't know why you have an issue with me or feel the need to keep bringing my name up out of the blue but please give it a rest. I did ask once remember? but you claimed "to have no idea what I was talking about". At least when others do it I've at least said something to (possibly) warrant it. I'm not even involved in your petty conversation. As far as I know I've never even said anything insulting at you to start with.

"If you don't like Gandhi you're a paedophile" great bit of writing there Lourdes
