The Sarah Connor Chronicles Thread

Post by slasher13 »

Hey there, Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bc7mzoqHahU
The Trailer for "The Sarah Connor Chronicles".

TSCC is a new show based on the adventures of John Connor and Sarah Connor, occuring between the events of Terminator 2 and Terminator 3 (possibly even beyond.)

Starring Thomas Dekker, Lena Headey, and Summer Glau, the story follows the Connors as they try living a new life only to have it disrupted by the reappearance of the machines. All hope seems lost until a new protector rises to defend the Connors once again.

This trailer was shown during the FOX Upfront Presentation on May 17, 2007, it is part of an entire presentation designed for public viewing.

Look for it to premiere sometime in early 2008, and expect Fox to cancel it after 3 episodes, 1 episode more than they usually give anything (likely due in part to the budget attached to this.)

Hey, that kid is Zack from Heroes :D

The above comment I couldnt have made a week ago :D
Anyway, trailer looks cool. I'm not a huge Terminator fan (liked the 1st, loved the 2nd, havent seen the 3rd), but this could be cool... although it could also wear out it's welcome very fast... depending on writing and acting etc.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Well, at least the score seems to be back in place. It was sorely missing in the third film.

Wasn't it there briefly during the end credits?

It's a pity Sarah Hamilton isn't playing Sarah Conner, she played it excellently. Hmmm it doesn't look rubbish but doesn't exactly fill me with lots of hope either. It does look pretty cheap. Did they really have to nick the "come with me you you want to live" line  .

Any news of a European release date? That is have any European countries picked it up?

Am I the only one who'd much, much prefer a story set in another time than a Terminator going back to kill John. That idea has been done to death, set it later for Christ's sake.

Brad, yes the famous score/theme was reprised in the end credits, but it was nowhere to be seen during the main part of the movie.

Yes but she is TOO old for when this is suposed to be set, she looks very old now it has to be said and thats why she doesnt get to star in films anymore.

She's 51 so that means she's too old to star in films? Right O-Kay tell that to Helen Mirren and a slew of other 50+ actors who're doing very well.

But point taken. Still they've done it before, look at Superman Returns. We're supposed to believe Lois Lane in Superman 2 is the same Lois Lane in Superman Returns???

Meryl Streep looks manish, even in her prime.

The acting in clip #1 is daytime soap level. :pukeright:

This show is on Fox, so it'll be cancelled after 9-13 eps.

Didnt say that at all, Linda is gone, she made some shit films thats flopped bad and will never get back into Hollywood again. Shame maybe, but thats the way of the world, gone and forggotton it seems. Dantes Paek was her last film, 10 years ago.

Helen Mirren is an awful actress anyway latley, makes me sick, and shes ugly. She has done 1 good film, Long Good Friday, apart from that shes bloody hideous!

Just watched this, by a predvdrip, of the 1st episode, its actually quite good. It has the girl from Serenity (The weapon), and the actress who plays Sarah Conner is very pretty, and quite hard.

I actually want to catch this now, when it does get showed on US TV. The budget is pretty big, great opening.

i heard they reshot the pilot to tone down the violence, the school incident won't be in the aired version.i thought this was ok but i can see it developing into a weekly long chase sequence.

I wish they would stop toning down the violence in everything these days! Do they think we can't take it?! The Terminator films are supposed to be violent! Thats why the third didn't do so well - the violence was almost non-existant!

Now that they're toning this series down, I can just see it bombing. I bet it doesn't last past the first season before it gets cancelled...

This starts on Virgin 1 in the UK at 22:00 on the 21st of February, which means Satellite, Cable and now Freeview owners can watch this (without downloading it).

I've got my PVR set.

Are they DVDrips?

I'm looking forward to it. It looks better than Blade, which I cannot be bothered to follow. The Terminator story is so much stronger. I cannot be bothered to source it elsewhere, the episodes on TV will be fine, especially as my PVR will record them all for me.
