Yeah, I'm guessing that it's a mistake then.

The DVDtimes reviewer (one of the MacKenzie brothers, I think) seems convinced that ALL of the Studio Canal releases thus far have had the wrongly pitched audio.

Considering the price of HD X-Men 3 isn't one I'd upgrade any time soon. It would certainly have to be under a tenner before I was interested in it.

I wasn't very impressed when I saw it at the cinema, but I thought it might be one worth buying for my new HD setup.

You don't have to buy average movies just because they're cheap and/or you don't have to use average movies as demo discs. There's plenty of AAA grade films on both HD optical formats at this point.

No I didn't. I've read the Blu-ray gets all the extras (probably because of the increased disk space) and the HD-DVD doesn't but both are 1 disc affairs.

Again thats wrong, HD DVD gets all the extras, but its on 2 HD DVDS and the price has been raised by $5.

Many sites just have it wrong, as usual.

What's your source? It seems to be different depending on what site you look at.

If that's true more reason to pick up the BD. That's stupid though and more proves that HD-DVD is a limited format.

So what do you all think about Paramount suddenly deciding to go HD-DVD exclusive? I'm really pissed off, to be honest.

Yup its silly to span it onto 2 dvds AND increase the price, its officla beleve me all the sites will come into line soon :D

but hey HD DVD has dealt a winning blow to Blu Ray after Todays BOMBSHELL that Paramount/Dreamworks has went HD DVD EXCLUSIVE! to say thats a BIG thing, is an understatement. Gigantic announcement for HD DVD.

It means Transformers for instance is ONLY HD DVD! to say thats a big one for HD DVD is an undertatement :)

Good for me mind you, Indiana Jones HD DVD :D

Yup the whole pre order thinsg where it gets tricky, too many rumors going around. but it is maybe likely they have pressed some Blu Rays already, and may give them to pre orders. How that will work is beyond me! either scrap them, or release it. Releasing it to pre orders opnly would make the shoot up in price like gold bars!

You could attempt asking the e-tailor you bought it from.

The HD-DVD UK Matrix Trilogy box set is up at DVD Active. No news of the Ultimate set yet:

But who cares about the Ultimate Matrix set?

Just get the cheap 3 films on HD, then buy the standard box set for 15 quid for the rest of the extras and it works out cheaper than the Ultimate set, which is pants anyway as it takes so long to navigate and load extras on HD DVD players, hence shite for me and the pictures pants compared to a standard dvd player as well I find.

I do, since there's the chance that the BRD Ultimate set might have The Animatrix in HD, and not in SD like the HD-DVD version.

I am sure many people would get the UK set if Animatrix was in HD, I wont count on that yet for either format. But one day, one day :D
