What is with some DVD reviewers, expecting the 5.1 remixes of older films to sound like a sonic surround and bass assault (like you would get from recent films)?
I was reading this review, oh christ. A stereo movie from 1985 shouldn't sound like it was made in 2007 FFS, don't expect it to do so.
Another common one is that some reviewers criticise transfers for being grainy. The grain is supposed to be there, douche (unless the film was shot on HD/digital/video I suppose).
The problem with some DVD reviewers

Yeah, I have that problem with numerous HKL reviews. One reviewer slamned Soulblade's Snuff Bottle Connection, saying all companies might as well sell their back catalogue to HKL. Yeah right. HKL frequently screw up and in many cases the films in question do not have film elements remaining
And being a sound purist, I dislike it when reviewers moan for DTS quadrophonic whatever on Citizen Kane

Reviewers who uses the IMDB for Chinese names - Yun Fat Chow, Yu Wang, etc
Reviewers who say "this looks like VHS" when they are reviewing a DVD of an old film that used an actual film print
Reviewers who let HKL off cropping Legend Of A Fighter - yes, I'm STILL MAD!
That one odd reviwer on DVD Cult who thought James Tien was Mr. Han in Enter The Dragon and Hsu Hsia's character in Dragon Fist. Oh, and claimed Invincible Armour or something was shot in 1.66:1
