The film will be split across 2 discs probably, one disc of extras and one soundtrack CD, so the 4disc tag isn't as crazy as it first seems.

Ah OK, that makes sense. The DC was 3 hours long or something ridiculous like that.

DC is about 2 and 1/2 hours long, not seen it Grim, bought the very cheap Danish DVD of the DC years ago but couldn't be arsed to watch it. The film never really appealed to me much, was just wondering what the hype was about.

One of the worst films ever made, not even worh commenting on to be honest (silly me commenting). Bile to be honest, not worth 1 dvd, never mind more.

I'd guess one disc houses the original cut and another the porn cut. As to which is the actual DC I hear the head of Penthouse went back and added real porn, much to the anger of the actual director, and obviously cast (including Helen Mirren and Malcolm MacDowell).

If that's true the shorter cut would be the DC.

The shorter cut was butchered by the distributor/BBFC (?) by almost an hour.

From what I gather the dir's cut would be the long version (2.5 hrs) but minus the 6 mins or so of hardcore which were shot without the director's knowledge.

...and True Lies, one of the most popular action films of the 90's, has only a non-anamorphic bare bones release.
