Review
In the year 2257, and Altair 4, a distant colony, has three inhabitants; Professor Morbius, his bewitching daughter, and a dutiful robot, named Robby, who speaks 188 languages. When a space cruiser from Earth lands on the planet a deadly secret is revealed that could spell doom for all on the planet...
Forbidden Planet is the granddaddy of tomorrow, a pioneering work whose ideas and style would be reverse-engineered into many cinematic space voyages to come. Shakespeare's "The Tempest" is transformed into this landmark science-fiction film, which featuring sets of extraordinary scale and the first all-electronic musical soundscape in film history, Forbidden Planet is in a movie orbit all its own!
Deleted Scenes AND Lost Footage? Wow.

Errr... Dude you never seen Forbidden Planet ever!!!, its a classic SF film!!!. I loved it, and still do, its great. Although when I watched it as a little kid on BBC2, I was a bit annoyed that they didn't show more of the monster, or the alien which lived there. Its a great sci-fi film, and highly recommended. I don't have the 50 Ann, and want to get it, just I will wait for the reviews on this, to see if it better than the R1 version.grim_tales wrote:This looks pretty interesting.. is it worth checking out? The R2 specs seem to be the same as the R1, I may check it out for a tenner
Yeah they do seem to be the same, if it was under a tenner, that would be a bargin.. Which reminds me, I need to get War of the World Special Edition, the 50's version, No Tom Cruise
