So what's all this guff about the R2 missing a prisoner being shot in the head? It's in my version. You even see a blood splash. Are we talking missing frames or something? Is there an uncut version if the UK one indeed isn't?

As far as I know, there are no cuts at all the the UK editions of this film.
The guy getting shot in the head is very quick, I don't think your missing anything.
