The nest is in our backyard. Ever since the nest was there I've been feeding the bird on the nest some bread almost every day, so today I could come pretty close without the mother getting upset or something. I quickly snapped 6 or 7 shots, and than left them alone again.

Superb photos - you got really close. Did mummy not go mental on you? Guarding her new born chicks. :D

Nah, I was about 1 meter away I think. She's used to me by now, I guess... because of the feeding these last few weeks. :D

I actually went back outside after I posted these pics, and gave some bread to the mom, and she fed her babies with it :D

I feel kinda sad that there are now a couple of babies, most likely 4 or 5, but most of them will probably be eaten by some big birds or something...

Goddamnit... :(

All the baby birds are gone. :( Probably eaten by a cat cause I heard the birds making noice, so I went outside to check. Mother bird was gone from the nest, a cat fled the scene, and the nest was empty :(

Tomorrow I'll try to build a bit of a little fence around the nest, and hopefully they will have new eggs and baby birds. This sucks, having seen that baby momma on it's nest for many weeks now, and 1 day after her babybirds are born, they're taken from her... :(

I fucking hate nature.
