Rush Hour 1 and 2 - R1 SE's - 22/5/07

Post by grim_tales »

DVD Active wrote:Further Details:
New Line Home Entertainment has sent over artwork for new special editions of Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 which star Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Each will be available to own from the 22nd May, and should retail at around $14.97 a pop. The full details have yet to be revealed I'm afraid, although we can confirm that the films will each receive a digitally remastered anamorphic widescreen transfer. The only confirmed extra material so far will be a sneak peak at Rush Hour 3, that includes behind the scenes footage and cast interviews. We'll bring you further details shortly. For now though, here's the artwork:

Haven't seen either Rush Hour for years - but prefferred Shanghai Noon IMO, dunno if I'll get these :?

*Yawn*
Maybe if they added commentaries featuring JC and Tucker, but it'll likely just be promotional crap.

If there's nothing new added of value then I won't upgrade. If the released in HD I might consider double dipping.

The flicks have been remastered, so expect TotalHD discs in the pipeline.

How many TotalHD's are there? Not many. Nah it will be standard HD discs.

As Eva says they've been remastered so it is worth it, not that I'll be upgrading though.

New Line's catalogue will be solely released on TotalHD remember, unless plans have been changed.

I doubt I'll upgrade but it does piss me off that my region 2 copy doesn't have subtitles for the Cantonese speaking bits. :x

Not our fault that you didn't do the proper research before buying the disc.

Yeah, I've never read that anywhere. I bought it ages ago, found it had no subtitles, so took it back and ordered the R1. I then reported it to DVD Compare.

Back then I didn't even know about multi-region discs let alone some regions have better releases than others. :(
