Very much inferior to Johnny Mak's original classic
I thought this sequel was much better than the overrated original and the best entry in the trilogy. There was a fourth installment called Underground Express which I haven't seen.

The Warrior (Hindi movie) - 4/5

Very good film IMO. Feels a bit slow moving at times even though its only 80 minutes long - however excellent performances and cinematography :)
I'm not sure what AR the film is - the box it claims it's anamorphic 2.35/1 but it looks like they've done an old MIHK trick of cropboxing (?) the image, there's a huge black bar over the bottom where Film Four have put their subs.

Domino 3.25/5

Not Scott's best but entertaining enough. Gave me a headache though.

Yeah. They also had They Live on that list.

They're idiots.

Of course it was one of those "so good it's bad" type of lists, but still.

hey,

Shaolin Vs Evil Dead 2.5/5

The hopping vampires are back and made by someone who has the same soft spot for the genre as many of us do. Production company My Way and Douglas Kung's effort looks a bit tired compared to the entire genre but making one of these flicks at this time means points scored already. A but uneven overall and cheap, there are a few scenarios that combine the energy of past vampire/ghost busting with today's CGI used to only average effect. Meaning the 80s and 90s meet up quite nicely with the new millenium. They could've used tigether pace and energy to the action but it's quite allright and hopefully something that'll be developed in the as of yet released direct sequel. The showreel during the end credits sure look good.
