Was pretty funny IMO. Merton obviously had his arguing hat on (why was he never like this?) as Hislop and he have never liked each other that much Merton was never going to put Chaplin (in an added twist Merton recently did a BBC 4 series on silent comics) or the Beatles in there, but listening to Hislop it sounded like good reasoning/the beginnings of it were developing, even if you didn't agree with what he said, and I liked how Merton tried to persuade him to think otherwise about Chaplin, Hislop would even say "I understand why this is innovative, its just not my cup of tea" or words to that effect. Fair do's IMO.I loved the end bit when Hislop tried to put Merton in Room 101 as he always lost on HIGNFY.
