I understand that. Just mentally add a comma, and what Brad says becomes "I am, thanks" (implying he was interested in the trailer when memetic asked him). Not that hard to get

I thought it was something like that but tbh imo it works either way. With or without a comma.

I'd be careful about correcting people's grammar/punctuation/spelling. I made that mistake and as soon as I made a mistake I certainly felt the wrath

A quick update to the thread... I saw "The Eye 2" at the theater last night, and I must say that it's quite crappy.

Very derivative, almost stale, and not scary at all. Hey, the plot premise isn't even scary at all if you understand Buddhism!!!!!!

Ok, a couple of nice jolts here and there, but overall a very boring film. Interesting to see Shu Qi in a serious role for a while (and not the usual irritating slutty/dumb character), and for once the dubbing helped (as much as I like her looks, I hate her voice).

Overall, The Eye 2 is definitely NOT recommended... the 1 had much more pathos.

She can't speak Cantonese right? It take it it was Cantonese and not Thai.

Either way it annoys me I hate bloody dubbing and for the record love Shu Qi's voice.

Well, the basic idea that whenever a new human being is born, the spirit of a dead one "enters" the infant... it seems quite normal to me, under a Buddhist point of view. And certainly not scary... It puzzles me why the character played by Shu Qi would be scared by such a "normal" thing, or why the viewer should... especially since the movie is so predictable and boring!

Italian dubbings made for theatrical releases (NOT straight to video stuff!) are usually quite decent, at least tolerable. Of course at home I always pick the original language track...
