I love them and really, really want to ravage Ayako Fujitani. I can't stress that enough.
Love & Pop is a wholly voyeuristic affair. Enjo kosai combined with a multitude of DV cameras in a multitude of places could not be anything else. It's almost dirty, but that's exactly why you continue watching. The whole Anno style and stuff is nice too, but we're all in it for the schoolgirls. Am I right?
Shikijitsu I just adore. When I watched I was going in with the sort of expectations you're bound to get when someone tells you it can change you. Well, it worked on me.

Don't let her dad hear you saying that. Apparently he was once a secret scientolgist who supposedly mastered astral projection and can kill you with one thought from halfway across the world! Her mom could kick your ass as well! :twisted:Lourdes wrote:I love them and really, really want to ravage Ayako Fujitani. I can't stress that enough.
I wonder how close Anno's film is to Fujitani's novel.

I love Cutie Honey too. Seriously. Eriko Sato is fantastic in it, like a Duracell Bunny come alive... Apparently there's a R1 release coming soon. Might be worth a wait for those who don't own the film already as the R2J is really soft.
Love and Pop is excellent as well. Very different kind of movie of course. The visual style may be a bit too much to some but I though it suited the film perfectly. And the ending credits sequence is the best ever. I must have watched that single scene at least 5 times... There's a R1 release available but it's apparently non-anamorpic so screw that (so is the second R2J btw, but according to Jeroen the PQ is otherwise better than the original release + it has one additional scene).

I LOVE the artwork for this film

And I love the teasers and trailers which consist of material not in the film. Most of this footage is actually a stylistic opposite from the film.

The beach scene is refferd in the movie, but it doesn't take place until the next day. The movie ends long before that.
Caps from the movie

Watched the ending credits again yesterday...
