Personally I think they should leave the brothels alone. If women want to sell their bodies behind closed doors that's their business not yours or mine. As long as it's consenting adults what's the harm to society? It's better than in the UK which has streetwalkers: unsafe for both customer and seller.

The ironic thing is brothels are very much legal in Australia and New Zealand. Making it even more bizarre, it's more of a licensing issue.

Exactly.

It works just as you say in Holland and Bangkok, Thailand. Yes it's far from ideal but better than roaming the streets unprotected and letting people see them who don't want to.
