What? You wouldn't immediately assume there is a death in the film by that title? It's common for featurettes to be named after parts of a film.

Death could refer to any character including a villain or henchman?

Or it could just be a play on words in regards to the film I mentioned earlier.

Or just a general hint at violence.

I doubt it, they rarely ever do. Only Warner really do that. I don't mind the cover art (I like it actually), it could've been much worse.

Hmmm.. now the certificate has been changed. Play say "12 years and over", if you look closely at the cover it has a UK "12" on it.
Maybe it could have been passed uncut with a 12

Or maybe not.

The cover art that the e-tailers get is not proof one way or the other. We'll only know for sure once the film has been passed for home viewing at the BBFC...

The distributor could've pre-cut the DVD before submitting it to the BBFC.

Remember these are cuts before release like the extra TND and GE cuts which we'll never see either. These aren't cuts like the TND/GE cuts which were uncut on R1 but not here.

They're two entirely different types of cuts. Also remember, from the BBFC website: "This film was originally seen by the BBFC in an unfinished version".

Unfinished really strikes me as tough you'll never see it.

I wouldn't get too hung up over the cuts to Casino Royale. Only one CU shot of the end of the rope was cut. The actual torture scene is the same as it was prior to the BBFC's involvement. In fact, the US theatrical is the same as the UK and in addition has more slight trims throughout the films. You may find though, that all regions are conformed so that they are the same. This is reliable info from parties close to production.

I have reason to believe the International (non UK) version is totally uncut, again from someone close to the film and the fact Michael Wilson said in the press that the US edition is unscatched in the torture scene proves this.

Incidentally the MPAA passed this long before the BBFC did, and the reason for this is because the filmmakers had to go away and re-cut the film, then let the BBFC see it again before it being passed as a 12A.

The BBFC-sanctioned version is the version used in Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. The uncut version (i.e. the version with full torture scene intact) was released elsewhere.
