It's a fair point you raise, Grim. The term 'precision bombing' is a bit of a misnomer. The whole concept of a bomb is to cause as much damage to an area as possible so, when the target is only a few people, why would a bomb be employed, when it is known that many more would be killed/maimed by its use? The answer is that the people who deploy the bomb don't really care about the 'collateral damage' that's inflicted.
