Didn't the guy with the eagle, that is supposed to rescue Bart from the well, say that?
He did!

It's funny that after being accused of talking behind Colin's back he saw fit to start a hidden thread over at DVD Forums (as stated by TPR007) preventing me from even seeing what was said let alone being able to comment.

Colin is allowed to view all comments and even has been allowed to reply.

On another note he's even seen fit to ban my Home and Work IP addresses preventing me from even seeing DVD Times content. Visiting the site says:

"You are attempting to access the site from a banned IP address or an account which has been banned. The IP address you are using may have been flagged as being a source of abuse or the account you are logged into is no longer authorised to view the site."

Which incidentally has had the knock on effect of banning 2000+ other people from also visiting DVD Times (I forget the exact number). All to ban 1 member.

It's all pretty creepy really, about 10:30 I had Guest access; when I went to the site it said I was banned which meant I had to delete my DVD Times cookie to gain access. Fine but this must've updated some log at Nazi Headquarters which in turn caused Colin to ban me even further.

I didn't think even Colin would stoop this low. Banning my accounts was more than sufficient, this is just petty.

All this while Colin is free to lurke on these forums as much as he likes, which I've no doubt he does. I look forward to the day someone brings you down a peg or two and make you realise you don't own the Internet.

Way to go!

I asked if I could still be a member of DVDFORUMS as I did like the place and I was allowed back, simple really.
Was it originally meant as a permanent ban? How long were you banned for?

Cheers

Colin didn't "ban" every DVDtimes member at all, he merely closed down the comments section while he implemented a scheme that banned you properly. I assume it's back up now.

I can't find the thread tpr007 spoke of on the DVDforums, so it might possibly have been deleted. If I find it i'll get back to you with the gist of what's being said, but tpr never said that Colin created the thread.

Oh and to anyone who think it was me who "grassed" Bradavon up. If i've got a problem with anyone I say it directly to them, I would've thought that much I have proven on these boards by now. :D

I never said he did, please re-read my post.

I thought I was doing you a favour given you're continuing to bitch about advertising on the site that is visible to unregistered users:

"Ironically no but only really because both sites when you're not logged in have EVEN MORE adverts. I'd forgot quite how covered the sites were. It makes it hard to read reviews"

How does one ad (that can be hidden with one click) followed by a few between comments make reading reviews difficult? It doesn't - but you're once again twisting the facts to back up an arguement that makes no sense. How does the advertising on DVD Times have any negative effect on you?

Anyway - this is the end of it for me. I'm not posting here again regarding anything to do with DVD Times / DVD Forums policy - it's not the place for it and it's boring to everyone else.

Unless someone says otherwise Tom or I will move this to Gold tomorrow.

It's probably run it's course.

Fine by me.

Just went to DVD Times for the first time this year to see how bad this advertising problem is.

Clicked on the Zidane review:
I'm counting 12 huge banners on one single page.
EDIT: correction: 13 huge banners.

(including this huge ad right in the middle of the review):

They've even put ads between user comments.

*I've just remembered why I had removed DVD Times from my Favourites*

I'll bet it does. How many yachts and Porsches have you bought last year ?
There are more ads on DVD Times than on a footballer's shirt.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

A pathetic and sad act by a sad and pathetic guy. How deep must you have sunk when you're going out of you're way as to IP-Ban someone fom a site, just cause the guy had some comments!?
Sad sad sad sad saddddddddddddd...
Almost laughable. It's like one of those 13 year old 'webmasters' who thinks h's always right and doesnt want ANYONE disagreeing...
...or like the kid who brought the football, and when he loses, goes home crying with his football under his arms;" you guys cant play anymore; t's MY ball..."

Pathetic.

Pfff good riddance. It's not like you answered to any questions raised, or had an answer to any of the comments we made...

...which is just further evidence that you're a sad little dickhead who just wants to ban and ignore people, instead of getting into a civil and normal discussion about the issues raised...

Ow, and Brad. I dont know what 'gold' is, or what happens when you move this there... but I'd like this to stay open ...
When everyone has had their say, it will fall down the boards and die down on it's own...

And Tom: Yeah... those ads are amazing, ey? Ah well... just use an ad-blocker I guess...

:D

He even went to the effort to upgrade the server software to ban me further. I must be special

BnB Gold, the read only archive subforum. As usual it can be moved back.

I knew you'd like it kept open ;) but tbh (hence the reason for originally locking it) the thread will go on forever otherwise with comment after comment.

Okay we'll compromise and leave it hear for another day or so then move it. I'm at least eager to end the discussion. We've probably all said our bit and would just be repeating our point of view. Colin grudgingly has even been allowed to air his opinion.

Did I say he was Welcome, well he's not. His account isn't banned though so if he wishes to contribute to this forum he may.

Would it work though?

I doubt it would go on forever :)
When everyone has had his say, and when the answers have been answered (or repeatedly ignored), it will just die out.

Good stuff about not banning the guy. Why stoop to his level? Bullets isnt about banning people just because we dont like them. Only spamming bastards get banned here :P

I use avant browser, so it's automatically already included in the browser. Takes 1 second to activate it, and you're done. For DVDtimes, to avoid seeing adverts, just disable scripts, and enable the adblocker (same roll-out menu, so takes a second), and the ads won't show up...
