Dr. Snuggles

Post by grim_tales »

Anyone remember this? :D

"Dr. Snuggles, friend of the animal world" (or something like that), he was some kind of inventor wasn't he?

Yi you may remember it :) Here's the English opening theme:

Same here, very vaguely. I remember how it looked, but I was about 4 or 5 when it aired on Dutch TV, and I dont believe I ever was a fan of the show.

I would have much preferred to have seen Dr. Slump :D

Shows I liked as a kid: Wizard of Oz (anime series), Nils Holgerson, MASK, GI Joe, MACRON 1 (MA MA MA MA MA MA MACRON 1! MA MA MA MA MA MA MACRON 1!), The REAL Ghostbusters, etc etc...

Awww... those wonderfull days of early saturdaymornings watching SKY and SUPERCHANNEL on cable... -sigh-... how things have changed for the worse :N

The REAL Ghostbusters was cool! :D
I don't remember the Wizard of Oz anime series at all (?) there was some kind of cartoon show introduced by Oz characters, some clips are on the R2 2 disc SE of OZ.
Snuggles was a British-German production, there were seperate versions made in English and German (and Dutch?), according to Wikipedia.

Were cartoons often dubbed into Dutch Yi? :) (I'm guessing they were).
I remember watching SKY/SUPER CHANNEL and the DJ Kat Show with episodes of TMHT, that was cool :D

No, back then pretty much none of the cartoons were dubbed, apart from some like Nils Holgerson and Wizard of Oz (which had good dubs btw).

Nowadays though, pretty much every cartoon gets a (bad) dubtreatment. Despicable.

DJ Kat show, with Linda de Mol (bitch) was also one of my daily morning routines :)
Dont remember them airing turtles though. I thought they aired MASK... :)

Tohtori Sykerö! :thumbright:

They don't make cartoons as trippy as it anymore. :D I've been seriously thinking of buying the Finnish DVD with Finnish dub (absolute must for me), but it needs to drop in price first.

I've often wondered what the Dutch/German dub would sound like :D
I also liked Willy Fogg :) This was a Spanish cartoon, and the theme tune rocked :D

The Racoons was good too. The theme song "Run With Us" won it's composer a Grammy award. Also released as a single by Lisa Lougheed.

They know I'm joking ofcourse (well, I'm not as usually kids cant draw, but still... you know what I mean ;) )
