Considering how long Surface Mail is taking at the moment (well over the usual 2 weeks) I went for Air Mail. It's not much more.

What a billy bargain :D

Surface Mail for me last time from amazon took 5 days :D thats not long. Customs is the only reason my stuff gets held up anymore :(

Still I wish the sub prob was done and dusted with this version, but hell its still the best version to look at.

Vol 2 is also the same price... tempting.

I know the HK verison's the same extended cut but I don't like the idea of having Chinese subs, turning into English, then back to Chinese. I'd rather just have English all the way through.

And your info is dated. It's 1429 yen, not 1929.

Of course not.

But this time it's taken over 18 days and still going for me. Sure it's swings and roundabouts, it's just for me it's taking so long so I'm not risking it.

But sure go with Surface mail if you want to, it's your money. I usually go with Surface mail.

Huh? Can't you choose Chinese or English subs. The Japanese DVD is no better though I'd presume, like Vol. 1 for Vol. 2 with all or no subs.

TBH surely it's just better to get a Western DVD with proper subs when we're only talking seconds difference, between the two cuts.

Barely as you posted it in a REALLY odd place and if you look carefully Grim beat you buy owe over 6 hours :D

Guess where he sourced that info? ;) .

I was at work so couldn't post earlier as this site is "apparently" adult content  (it wasn't up until about 6 weeks ago when I could get in fine).

:D

As Lourdes says, your price isn't accurate mine is ;) . FYI I only ever quote the total/delivered price.

According to DVDbeaver, there are only two subtitles for the HK DVD.

Chinese (simplified)
Chinese (traditional)

These switch to English during the chinese dialogue. I presume you still need to fiddle around with the subtitles (as per JPN KB Vol. 1). However the Japanese DVD simply has English all the way through - which is what I prefer.

I usually watch all (including Hollywood) films with English subtitles.

So the whole subtitle fiddling thing isn't an issue for me as I'd just leave them on at all time.

I just ordered KB Vol 2 thanks (although it seems that the HK DVD wins in the extras department).

I sometimes put English subs on for English films too as sometimes the dialogue sounds unclear to me.

As do I, but I turn them off when I no longer need them - after the next couple lines usually.

Bugger all really :D a few pointless additions that most people will never notice unless pointed out :D doesnt matter which version of part 2 you get I say, the fact is they are all pathetic versions for extras anyway, and someone needs a punch in the face for the appauling state of Kill Bill dvds worldwide. I want extras, dvds full of them! and the full film without the hour of footage hacked out and binned!

It's a longer cut (as is the HK DVD but that has trickier subs but more extras).

Well longer isnt how to describe it, alternate scenes is more apt. Some shots (very few) are subsituted with alternate angles, basically its bollocks. :D

DVDcompare say:
R2 LE Japan - (Universal Pictures) - No cuts. This is an extended version. There is only one difference between the Asian and Western versions of the film, and this is an extra scene 45 sec at the Mexican brothel, which begins at 81:43 min - NTSC.

Ah you're right Romero... they have been inaccurate in the past (and failed to admit their mistakes). They were really bad when they were under the rewind name.

I ordered KB Vol 2 anyway, it'll look nice having two JPN editions side by side. I liked vol 2.
