I've been informed that there is little chance of this having a song & dance number (but it's difficult to tell with Bollywood). There is a fair bit of promotion in India so hopefully it'll be sound.
Black is my fav Bollywood film I think. No songs, no nonsense... absolute masterpiece.

I can't wait for this movie, it looks top. I saw the trailer when watching Dhoom 2 (Now that a bollywood movie to watch, the 1st one was okay, the 2nd one is much much better). Anyway back onto Kabul Express, I do like Yash Films, who also released Black (Excellent dvd release), so have high hopes for this. It will be a wonderful film. Good career movie for John Abraham to star in this movie, and Arshad Warsi who I loved in Munnabhai M.B.B.S with Sunjay Dutt

Hey BiscLimpkit, I go to tooting who have a big collection of dvds and normally give me discount on. Yes the online stores do go OOP very very quickly, however I did buy from Play Veer Zaara, Lagaan, K3G without any problem. The problem like you have seen is Yash films do go OOP extremely quickly, such titles like Black are only available online for a short time, however in Southall/Tooting/Ilford/Leicester/Birmingham they would still have stock. But you may need to pay up to £20, but they should give you discount
I have purchased from Indiaweekly, they look like pirates, but they aren't. I purchased the 2 disk version of Dil Chata Hai - Spark Version(If you haven't watched that, you really need to watch it, one of Aamir Khan best movies, but Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna are equally powerhouse performance, all of them are excellent). Only took a week to come here

Of course I'm not 100 percent, so maybe. My dvd seems to be original, but I did use that shop 2 years ago, so maybe it changed. Checkout play collection, small but usefulBiscLimpkit wrote:You sure they aren't pirates? I'm not so sure...
My Aakhree Raasta DVD is plastered with indiaweekly ads....![]()
I just don't think that one should have to pay for piracy - it should be free.

Kabul Express 2.5/5
Number of songs: none.
Superb idea from first time writer-director Kabir Khan (who is fascinated by Afganistan) - focusing on a dysfunctional group, consisting of two Indian reporters, an American photographer, an Afgan guide and a Pakistani Talib, as they trek across to the Afgan-Pakistan border.
There's not really much in the way of political commentary, which is what I was expecting from a film set in post-9/11 Kabul. Instead we have a fairly weak buddy road movie. Even the final message was a bit ambiguous. Any time the characters make an attempt to focus on the politics behind the war, the director is quick to flood the scene with unfunny comic reliefs. It gets too much and the whole topic becomes a farse after a while.
Also the performances from John Abraham and Linda Arsenio (the American reporter) were abysmal. Completely non-professional and dire.
The photography was superb though - harsh yet beautiful landscapes. Yeah great idea, rubbish execution. Next time perhaps, Kabir Khan.
