I know, but for £3 I'm not complaining. I'm treating it as a rental. If I like the film I will buy the uncut version. There was nothing else I needed from the site so I decided to just go for that one.

My father got himself an LG 20" 16/10 LCD monitor.
Quality is still crap compared to CRTs.

16/10?

I spotted some 32" HD LCD Digital Ready TV's (one was Panasonic, one Toshiba I think) for £700-800.

Something to think about for my room at some point.

What do you think IM?
Some of the Panasonic/Pioneer sets were bloody expensive.

TV screens are 16/9.
PC LCD screens are usually 16/10 (that's a bit "narrower" than 16/9).

Anal mathematical nitpick: They should be listing that ratio as 8/5.

That's because you get what you pay for. If you want a set thats going to last more than just a few years, get a Panasonic. Pioneer are pretty good too.

You can get a Panasonic 32" LCD (model TX-32LXD60) for around £850 these days which is a pretty decent price for it.

I think I saw a Panasonic for £850-ish there too.

I've tuned in my mums TV fine, whether she'll budge on an ariel upgrade (it sounds like we need one as not all the Freeview ones tune in properly) is another matter....

Much better than the old kitchen TV we had though which is something

I just ordered:

Both from HKL for the grand sum of £11.99. Its weird that when I put these 2 titles in my basket the other night it would not knock the price down so it was coming out at £23.98. I tried again tonight & hey presto, it worked.
