dad died this morning and i just feel like crap. uhm i need time away with the family and all..

Aw geez, that's very sad to hear, Shen. My sincere condolences.
The way you talked about your dad and all the crap he's already been through (multiple strokes and all that), I almost started believing he was indestructable and would also come out of this one...

I wish you all the strength and love you need to get through this.

the funeral is tomorrow, not looking forward to it though. saw dad yesterday in the chapel of rest, im glad i did but it sucked. seeing him tomorrow too. cant belive we are doing this.

So how are you and your family holding up these days? Are you all very busy with the arangements and stuff, or is family taking care of things?
Are you going to have to speak? I know I would probably not be able to speak at such an occasion.

mmh we are ok, as well as can be expected, fantastic support from friends and family. loads of cards and flowers and such. we've all got together and decided on the arangements together. unfortunatly we had never prepared for this to happen, it wasnt expected at all so its cost nearly £2000 for a basic funeral. i dont have to speak, i couldnt even if i wanted to, i have a social anxeity/phobia, i dont speak much to anyone let alone infront of a 100 or so people (dad was well loved even local councellors and bus drivers are attending tomorrow so there will be many many people there.)

im just bummed i have to wear a suit thing that i hate

really not looking forward to it, wish tomorrow would never come.
