WOW that's quite a set and has to be most of his films. That's not a bad price either considering Bad Education and Talk to Her are still £15 each, even though they've been out for ages.

I'd be interested if I didn't already own those two, which are the best with exclusive Almodovar commentaries. The rest I bet are world bests too, except for Live Flesh which is as good to the UK R2 and R4.

I also own Live Flesh and All about my Mother too, so 4 of the 8 already bought.

Great to hear 4 of them are getting remastered too. All about my Mother is a really old DVD.

p.s - Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! is best from the UK.

$117.95?! That's one insane RRP. The cheapest that we'll see it at is probably around $80-ish. I mean I just bought the Warner John Ford/John Wayne boxset that has 8 films and 9 discs and the RRP for that was $80. Too rich for my blood.

Agreed and I won't be getting it but then the single disc releases are also expensive. I already own half the films too.

I saw Matador (thats 1986 right?) on TV once, it was quite interesting

All Almodovar films are interesting and push the boundaries too.

Eva: Checking out Play.com:

WOW Great to see the wonderful Volver according to Play is getting a 2 Disc SE in February. That's a first for a PA film.

It's good to also see the following UK box set releases getting separate DVD releases (04/12/06 except Matador on 26/12/2006):

Pepi, Luci, Bom - Doesn't look to be released on R1
Matador - Part of the R1 box set so no doubt better
Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown - Part of the R1 box set so no doubt better
The Flower Of My Secret - There is a Sony R1 of this so no doubt it's better, extras are about the same though (R1 Making Of. UK Interviews)
Kika - Doesn't look to be released on R1
Dark Habits - The R1 is a dodgy looking Fox Lorber (also according to an Amazon.com comment it's cut by 15 minutes)
Law Of Desire - Part of the R1 box set so no doubt better

Pepi Luci Bom, Kika and Dark Habits look like a possible purchase. The R1 Box set Exclusives I'll wait for a separate disc release.

The Flower Of My Secret - R1 single disc release looks to be OOP but there is a cheap as chips R4 for AUD $16.72 from DVD Crave ($19.70/£7.94 UK Delivered).

Due to the bare-bones nature I'm going to see if I can source an R1 eBay.com version if not I'll wait for the UK version to go down in price (the Aussie cover is awful too).

What Have I Done To Deserve This? - As well as the cheap Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! there is also this for £5.89 from Sendit.com (or BlahdDVD for £6.99) released on 04/12/06. Odd it's so much cheaper than the rest.

The R1 is a Fox Lorber bare-bones affair.
