Bought at Saturn Saturday
The Ultimate Matrix Collection - 10 Discer
The films didn't do a lot for me, but always wanted to get the boxset for the awesome extras it features. It was just too expensive all these months (years). They had DVD sales, though and sold the box at €17,99 which is like... nothing.

You do know that that is NTSC-PAL for both cuts of the film don't you?grim_tales wrote:Godzilla 50th Anniversary Ed. R4
The R2UK BFI disc hass the best PQ and extras but is missing the US butchered cut, the R1 has most of the R2's extras and both cuts of the film but is interlaced.

Today I received 6 James Bond DVDs, all from Choices. I should be happy with that, but I am a little peeved...
The Living Daylights, GoldenEye & Tomorrow Never Dies came in black cases, while Licence To Kill, The World Is Not Enough & Die Another Day were all in silver cases. GoldenEye also came with a posh embossed cardboard sleeve which none of the others have.
Why the inconsistency? I bought them all from the same e-tailer in the exact same order & they've sent me completely non-matching versions!
Why are there 3 different versions of each Bond Ultimate Edition doing the rounds? As I can see, you can either get the posh embossed sleeve versions (which I see everywhere in shops), silver cased versions or black cased versions.
Now I would obviously have preferred them all to be in the posh embossed card sleeves but that's just not going to happen now. I will have to dig out some black plastic cases to replace the 3 DVDs that came in silver cases as they just look stupid on my shelves.
I can't understand why Sony / MGM have done this?!
Oh, and why do a couple of the DVDs (I think GoldenEye & Tomorrow Never Dies) have 20th Century Fox hologram logos on the back of them? All the rest have Sony Pictures Entertainment holograms. I thought all of the Bond films were now owned by Sony since they bought MGM?
The other annoying thing is that not all of the spines have both the BBFC & Irish classifications on them, so they don't match. The whole point of me buying these new versions was so that I could have a matching set of uncut Bond films!
Sorry for the rant, but it just seems a bit stupid to me...
